The ABBA song at half time

As soon as the first chord was played, I said there wouldn't be a dry eye in the house! Didn't think I would ever see the day an Abba song was sung at Ibrox. Definitely emotional.

What was the dance track played at HT does anyone know?

I think it was just before ABBA's song came on.

Sounded like a vocal mix / sample of Nalin & Kane's Beachball

Terribly poignant. Being in the GR I was trying to see what the Feyenoord mob were up to below us but my mood shifted when the song came on. Lump in the throat stuff.

We were watching the madness erupting in the away end across from us and the opening chords started.

At first it wasn’t clear what the song was, but as soon as it became clear what it was the emotion hit.

This has to be part of the songbook in future.

Huge respect to the players and officials who took a moment or two to join in the applause.
First time I’ve seen that done it was very moving.
I noticed the Feyenoord number 10 in front of us joining in,and thought it was possible he knew Fernando personally, then all the players, and officials joined in.first time I've seen it,when the ball was in play.a nice touch.

Even just this chorus could be a good addition to the song book. He deserves it.

There was something in the air that night
The stars were bright, Fernando
They were shining there for you and me
For liberty, Fernando
Though we never thought that we could lose
There's no regret
If I had to do the same again
I would, my friend, Fernando
If I had to do the same again
I would, my friend, Fernando
