1 in 3 at international level is very decent and considering all his goals used to be crackers I loved him when I was a kid. If I was to take anyone out it would probably be him for Hutton or Gary Naysmith.

Since around 74:
Souness and Dalglish based on absolute talent on its own.
After that, it gets difficult for me to separate talent and blatant favouritism.
That said, and all things considered, I cant think of any players who would substantially improve on my next three.
Gough, Cooper and McCoist.

Law, Dalglish,Barry,Jardine,Baxter are all my first choice then if you pushed me for another five they would be Ally,Johnstone (although a horrible little runt of a man), McGrain, Bremner, Souness
