Last Saturday night we had the pleasure of presenting the Founders story for The St Laurence bar in Slammanan,a fantastic night was had by all.

At the end of the presentation our Restorations of Rangers Graves Donations Bucket was sent around the pub and the wonderful sum of £104.70 was raised for the Project. This will help to ensure that our work continues over the coming weeks and months.

We’d like to sincerely thank all who attended for their overwhelming generosity and in particular Graeme McCausland for arranging and organising the event.

If you’d like information on hosting a Founders Presentation event please email us for details at thefounderstrail@gmail.com or call 0790 2855536 for a chat.

The story every Rangers fan should hear at least once.

Slammanan was the birthplace of the legendary Jimmy Smith, the man who scored more goals for Rangers than anyone else, and who then served the club as a trainer then a scout.

Indeed and also the birthplace of Samuel Frickleton VC who was honoured by the village a few years ago by way of a memorial cairn

My next door neighbour for many years.

Blazer, collar and tie even when he went up to put his line on and have his lunchtime pint in the Quo Vadis pub.

A Gentleman and a great Ranger.

His wiki page says Falkirk. I remember one of my Dad's old pals saying he grew up with Davie and the pal was from the Slamannan area.
