If its not able to be played at Dens swamp next week, what's this contingency they mentioned or is it a secret much like everything else involving the governing bodies such as VAR audio, dodgy deals and the likes.

I'd like to think there is some sensible solution if the pitch is still a quagmire like playing elsewhere but wouldn't it be prudent to announce what they plan to do should there be no vast improvement in the playing conditions.

You’d assume it’ll be similar to the contingency for the Motherwell game at the weekend, delay to the following afternoon/different venue.

Pitch might still be goosed a day later plus we have a semi final to prepare for so no to day later and if they are talking about an alternative venue have they actually agreed one that is suitable to all parties.

Not Livvy or Kilmarnock. If only there was a stadium near by willing to host it. :)

Think this sums it up

Genuinely can’t see them playing it elsewhere, and no danger they’ll make Dundee forfeit the points considering the fallout that would cause.

They’ll be praying for constant sun.

The fact the final standings of split is in the balance puts them in a tough spot.

I feel sorry for the SPFL, who could have foreseen that the combination of Scottish climate and lack of money in Scottish game could give rise to such issues.

Clueless clowns making it up as they go. They ignored Rangers when we made other suggestions. Twice postponed they should be made to play at Ibrox. Spfl plans regarding players getting injured on Sunday unable to play in a game that should've been played last month. What about dodgy red card from dodgy referee. We should be asking questions regarding these scenarios.

It was Airdrie’s stadium for the Motherwell game so maybe that again.

Ain't they plastic? Aye it'll be that and hope we get injuries like we often do.

Tell them to ram plastic up their farters.

But at least that plan was in place for Motherwell game.

They don't seem to be telling is.
In fairness, Airdrie’s plastic pitch looks like one of the decent ones. Far superior to livi or Kilmarnock’s.

Still tell them to ram it though.

It is becoming very apparent that Dundee are not being held to account as they should be, and one can only assume that is related to their co-operation with the SPFL over the email fiasco.

Celtic, Dundee and the SPFL in cahoots and now it is biting the SPFL in the bum as it is making them look even more incompetent than they really are, but they cannot act due to their un gentlemanly agreement.

Aye , very good !

There should’ve been a contingency plan for today not if the game is called off next week. They already said no contingency was good enough for today so what makes it better next week
I suspect that no contingency was acceptable to Celtic who call all the shots with Doncaster. They will want us to play on a mud- heap or a plastic pitch. We need to refuse.

It seems the contingency is to say 'we will play it next week'. Expect the same if its delayed again

Did Motherwell get an email on 21st March like us detailing what their contingency plan would be?

Seems strange we got a plan emailed over 3 weeks and they didn't.

They are hoping the results at the weekend resolve things for them...I assume if Dundee make it at the weekend then this game can keep getting pushed back and played post split? Well then have 2 games to try and squeeze in with them.

Go down the Wimbledon route, start the game and if it rains get the covers on, stops raining start play again and so on till 90 mins are played, including into the following today if required.

Herr Liewell has decided - In the interests of sporting integrity, it will be declared a draw with one point each. On second thoughts, because he owes Dundee a big favour, he has decided to give all three points to Dundee.
Now he'll make a rousing speech and ask tell everyone to put their hands up. The rest of the SPFL think that sounds fair enough.

I agree. Part of the rules of being allowed in the league are to have the pitch, drainage etc in working order so to speak. Dundee had 3 games in a row postponed due to the weather Dec/Jan last season. They relaid the pitch for start of this season but couldn't sort the drainage issue because the problem was happening in land next to their stadium which they didn't own.

Now surely by not being able to sort the drainage issue their stadium does not meet the required conditions to allow Dundee to be in the league. Surely after last seasons postponements they had to fix the problems and show the league they had sorted the problems. They obviously couldn't but their cozy relationships with the league/Celtic has allowed them to bypass the league requirements. Surely this needs investigated

It’s more BS from the SPL

They don’t have a contingency plan

Praying for good weather when the forecast isn’t great and the pitch is like a sponge with very little drainage so any rain on a sodden surface will be another postponement

It would take 4/5 days of zero rain to dry that pitch and that’s not in the forecast

Doncaster as usual hiding and offering zero solutions

After 2 postponements and no more calendar dates, there should be absolutely no way the game should be planned for Dens Park next week

What if it's postponed again, surely the split would then be delayed from being able to start

The fact is Dundee made minimal effort to get this game going and using rain as an excuse is pathetic when amateur games are taking place in the same evening

SPFL should reschedule now for somewhere like McDiarmid Park which is set up with VAR and the closest stadium to Dens

Game to go on at a neutal venue in the east end of glasgow

Don Robertson, ref Collum on kafflik VAR

All tickets for Rangers fans subject to restricted view. £50 to use the Publicly funded Chris Hoy overspill car park

They will be tossing a two headed coin to see who gets the three points.

We will be tails just in case anyone was wondering.

It's actually in the rules that they thought up yesterday and are writing into the rule book tonight.

The SPFL don't give a toss if this shambles makes Scottish football even more tinpot than usual. Its all about derailing our chances of winning the title. Naturally, when this season is over, they'll invent some new rule that garbage like this never happens again, and that lessons will be learned, etc. But the damage will already be done to us by then.
