I can't for the life of me understand what possible reason the ref had for not awarding that penalty. Are we now seeing refs leave the controversial (although there was nothing controversial about it) decisions to VAR. Protecting their windaes?

Excellent.
And look at the 4th goal, he is always moving just enough to give himself some space between him and the defender. Not much but it is really experienced centre forward play. He is a finisher!

It was superb. The way he runs straight towards the goal then at the last minute runs to the front post. Love seeing a striker with movement like that.
His second was almost a tap in but still a good goal.

Thought the ref, by his usual standards, had a relatively good game last night.
But he didn’t want to give Kent that penalty.
Even his body language when he had to look at VAR and point to the spot was all so negative!
