Tynecastle Parking

Driving through tomorrow and wondering where would be best to park? We usually get routed under the Trainline toward Haymarket at the end so was thinking somewhere round about Murrayfield? Is it all permit parking in these areas or is there somewhere better?

Last time I went through I free parked at Ingliston park and ride and got the tram to Haymarket and walked - 15 min walk (am a fairly slow walker) or you can get a bus.

No problems.

This is exactly exactly where I’d decided upon when looking at the maps.

Last time I went Tynecastle, into Edinburgh via A71. I parked in Hutchison Crossway opposite Saughton Park, you could possibly get nearer; but it was a 15 minute walk tops; and handy for getting away after the game.

Did consider that but thought everyone else would do similar and it doesn’t look too big.

Kingsburgh Road, walk through Murrayfield and ideal for getting back on M8

There‘s a wee estate just off the Old Edinburgh Road. 5 mins walk from ground

a word of warning: main road at roseburn is a shambles - single carriageway, side roads shut & no right turns etc as the cooncil are sticking in bike lanes

Stay away from the ground it’s a nightmare getting out. Come in via Sighthill and park anywhere along past the jail on the left hand side.

15 min walk but your away straight after. Gorgie area is a nightmare

Always park around Stanhope street. Easy 15 mins walk from there
