Union Bears left the stadium right on full time

Neither going to applaud nor criticise the UBs, they're free to leave at the end of the game if they want and it's a dignified enough way to register disapproval. Plenty of other fans will have stayed behind to applaud the players, I think it's a mistake for the support to give in to the notion that what the UBs do or don't do represents the fanbase as a whole. So no big disaster.

But the players have to understand where the UBs are coming from. We have players who look like they checked out a month ago, and the squad as a whole, the senior players, the "better" players, have been unable or unwilling to nip that trend in the bud, causing us to meekly concede a league that was ours for the taking. Fans bothering to turn up tonight, sticking with the team through another two goal deficit conceded in quick fashion, followed by a great turnaround, then leaving at 90 minutes, can hardly be faulted.
A measured post compared to some of the nonsense on this thread. Its only natural that people lose patience with those in the team who have let the fans down time and time again.

You've missed the squad shitting the bed for the umpteenth time, capitulating to a bang average Yahoo team, failing to dispose of cannon-fodder to keep the league alive and generally under-achieve when it mattered most....apparently.
Sigh.

Clement better get us winning all 58+ games next year or people like you are going to be raging

The rush to defend mediocrity and polish a turd on here really demonstrates that we have a part of our support accepting our place as the second team in Scotland. If you aren't angry about how this season ended then we will have a board, manager and club who will trot out the excuses season upon season as they overtake our most successful tag, head again towards 10 in a row and make every season a disappointment. The board have let our team go backwards and the same players have let us down time after time no matter what manager we bring in. So why shouldn't the UB use the last game to make feelings known that second best is not acceptable.
Shows how far the bar of expectation has dropped.

Is taking the title to the 2nd last day of the season failure after where we were before the manager change?

Was it happy clapping failure after the benfica game at Ibrox?
It was the same players who got us into the position we were in before Beale was sacked, don't forget that. Clement has done a great job, but those same players have let us and him down these past few weeks and I'm sure he'd agree with me.

Benfica are a different level than what we deal with domestically.

Genuinely don’t understand folk on here.

Whinge like fck about players who don’t care, then you’ve got a guy like Barasic who obviously cares for the club. Yes, he’s been poor for us on occasions, but he was also part of a massive success. But, no it’s all “fck him”.

Basically, you don’t have to be a cant all the time just to appear staunch as fck.

You can't even spell his name right.

Beale fucked us then. I've never seen football played where no-one had any idea of what they were doing. We had players running into each other, running away from each other. It was a disaster.

Clement also deserves credit then for getting these same players onto an unreal run and getting us believing again

Absolutely fucking spot on.

We were simply not good enough to topple them. Only once we have done it since 2012 by a manager who was given time, although if many had their way, they'd have had him out the door and that lot going for whatever in a row.

They were outstanding tonight. Can’t wait until next season and they are back in the home end

I got up and left right at the final whistle so can’t blame them. Sick of applauding a team at the end of the season that in my eyes have let us down. Young players coming into the team also need to realise to succeed at Rangers you don’t get a standing ovation for being second best.

And who was your rage directed at?
The manager. He got both teams wrong. The players who didn't perform.

That's sport. You can't win every time. Can't win everything.

Can give yourself the best chance which we didn't.

Objectively we don't know the full ins and outs. There was a big discussion about ridvan starting tonight and how he couldn have started on sat. None of us know or will ever know what the circumstances were.

Why would they stay to applaud a lap of honour for those spineless cowards?

What good has it done in the past before big games?

These players are done and the sooner they leave and a fresh set of players that can form a new bond with the fans come in, the better.

No banners, applause, protest, being called out will change anything for these losers, times up.

They were there for the old manager too. They were a big part of the reason we were so far behind. Have to judge the season as a whole.

Their dull droning white noise atmosphere is as good as silent imo
The dull droning also puts others off singing imo.

After a bit of attacking play, a burst of sporadic singing can lift the team. But when they are singing already it prevents any other songs starting up.

Singing at the same tone throughout the game isn’t as impactful. Ibrox had better atmosphere before them

I left at the final whistle also, fair f.ucks to them, the place would have been like a library tonight without their continued noisy support....looking forward to the Cup Final next Saturday to see their tifo and pyro display.

Agreed mate.
The financial argument doesn’t wash anymore.
Despite all the Tim’s so called wealth we did compete with them for a part of the season and after the Hearts game we looked nailed on to win it.
Dropping points to that mob as bad as it was isn’t what killed us though it was dropping 8 points to Motherwell, Ross County and Dundee that done for us, 3 teams who spend a fraction of what we do.
Win those games and we are sitting 5 clear tonight with them knowing even a draw tomorrow wouldnt be enough. If our players had any bottle about them the Tims would be feeling massive pressure right now.
We have gifted them the league.
In a nutshell mate

They didn’t turn their back, they turned up and sang for 94 mins ffs. Unlike the 15k who stayed away but will be desperate for Cup final tickets
What they done was a break from the norm for them, they stay and applaud the team. They didn’t do that tonight, on a night that they know the players will go round the ground, some for the last time (players that have won 55, that have taken us to a European final) they turned their back on them.

They won’t turn their back on a cup final ticket or a Chief Exec who’s bent over backwards for them, displacing some that did stay to support the team, to accommodate a move.
