What an anti climax that was before the game

Honestly who cares.

We're almost in October after what's been a fairly average start to the season.

It wouldn't have felt right to start letting off fireworks and having flags on every seat for something we achieved in May.

Circumstances meant this flag day was always going to be more subdued.

55 was yesterday's news, I celebrated like a mad man in May.. I didn't have the urge for another big celebration in October.
Agree with this and agreed with Gerrard not wanting it to be a distraction this far into the season, albeit things didn't turn out as we wanted. Would have been better having the traditional unfurling of the flag on the first day of the season, regardless of there being limited numbers in.

Flag day has always been just what we saw yesterday, no more no less.
Patently untrue and we’ve already seen videos proving the case . There was zero effort put into it whatsoever by the club , some people just can’t seem to accept any kind of criticism of the board whether it’s justified or not . For many thousands of kids there on Sunday ,Aged anywhere between 5 and 16/17 it was their first ever top league title flag day , the CLUB told the fans to “ turn up early don’t miss out “ , and we were hit with a half arsed waste of time . The small details matter and yes it’s 6 games into the season and Gerrard didn’t want a fuss , but it didn’t need to involve the players at all , after ten years wait and going through hell fans are entitled to a moment surely properly organised , why wasn’t the trophy brought out for example ? An utter farce and just another example of the club happy to take money for season tickets , MyGers , shares , 3 match package , inferior replica kits , RTV and edminston house , but they can’t be arsed organising a flag day especially for younger fans our future of the club .
