What Rangers player has been most celebrated in song

Ian Durrant?

Trying to think of other players we still sing about decades after they retired likes of Novo....or a trick question like Mo Johnston cause that mob sung about him too

It's got to be Colin Stein.
the three songs DH mentioned earlier plus..
There's a star man in the Rangers team, his name is Colin Stein, he's the best you've ever seen (Bowie).
And the Robin Hood tune Colin Stein Colin Stein in the Rangers team, Colin Stein Colin Stein the best you've ever seen, loved by the blue, feared by the green Colin Stein Colin Stein Colin Stein
The Star Man one is magic

The spelling of players names on this thread is fkn criminal. Ian durant, Billy Urquart and the daddy of them all, wait for it, Wille Waddle.
If you'd hung on for a bit, post #55 would have been a challenger for 'daddy of them all' :))

Before FF, how did our budding songwriter fans do the "I've made up a song to the tune of ____, see what you think" thing?
Can remember going to Muirton think 1979, guy was giving out wee printed sheets for a new song.
Can remember it was to the tune of “would you like to wish on a star”, let’s just say not complimentary to the dark side, sadly never caught on :D
