The poll today is a little bit different, as both goal were scored by the same player.
Since 1974, we have had to visit away grounds in the league twice in the same season, and these goals were scored in our trips to Easter Road in season 1997-98. And both were scored by The Hammer, the left foot of Jorg Albertz.

Goal 1 is from October 1997. After going 3-1 down, Gazza scored a great free kick, then just a few minutes later this Albertz missile equalised. We ended up winning the game 4-3.

Goal 2 is from February 1998. It was 1-1 with time almost up, when from almost the same blade of grass Albertz unleashed this thunderbolt to score a late winner.

2 trademark long range rockets. Both at the home end. Both helped us to unlikely victories.
But which Albertz Easter Road special was better?

Went for 97.
Was fortunate enough to be at both games.
Just shows you how even the great Rangers teams had to battle hard for these away victories.
Both Saturday 3pm games too. (I think)

Imagine being a keeper playing against him. You could be having the game of your life pulling off safe after save and know on the back of your mind he is capable of pulling off a cracker like that and your going to be totally hopeless.

ive never seen a player who could consistently hit the ball with power and precision. A fantastic player who also done it in big games often.

I went for 98 as it was the only thought in his mind. The first one it kinda opened up and he went "oh well".
