It won't change - the players we have across the front aren't clinical enough so they will continue to miss chances, fluff shots, shrink from headers, and make the wrong decisions in the final 3rd.

Just on way home from game. That was unbelievable. 43 shots, 23 on target. Any other night it would have been 6 or 7. Thought we started each half brilliantly. Matondo was unplayable for a while. Cortes was brilliant when he came on. Big Cyriel till his goals well but could have had 5 really. Midfield completely bossed it. We played some lovely football at times. Cantwell is loving it. Lawrence the same. Big John is imperious. Jack Butland is needing exercise. Disappointing not to go top but it’s just a delay. We are looking good.

We were up against a team tonight who put their bodies on the line and rode their luck. These are the results which win titles. The attitude to win games is the most important thing. We keep on doing that until May will bring us the title. Teams are not going to roll over and let us win games , we need to earn it and we did that tonight.

Well that was a strange game.

Some brilliant attacking play. To have 43 shots and 23 on target is some going, but to only have three goals from that is not good. And when the opposition scores with their only shot on target it's far from ideal.

Still plenty to work on but it's a good win that takes us level at the top of the league. We can complain all we want about not scoring enough or the chances missed, but every one of us would have bitten their hand off for that a few months ago.
