Buy this book, you won’t regret it.

Whether for yourself or as a present this is a must have.   It’s superb.  Whether to read cover to cover or to dip into it’s a marvellous read.

Using the DC Thomson archive, Steve Finan has created an immensely readable as well as viewable book.

It ranges mostly from the 1920s to the mid 1980s with a welter of pictures, pen pictures of players, architectural photos, team lines, pictures of the players at leisure, at weddings or in action.

It covers the Struth era, the Iron Curtain, Jim Baxter, Derek Johnston and everything in between.

All the pictures are in black and white.   Some have been left in their original state – somewhat worn from years in the archives or marked with chemicals or editors pencils.

An essential buy!
