Kevin Thomson defends his mate Scott Brown

Thomson more or less stating none of our players put a glove on him last week which is true our midfield was gutless and pathetic and we’re not even smart enough against him and let him run all over us.

We move on and live and learn again.

Sorry KT but good football players don't need to act like a kunt to win games , super Ally wound up the opposition with his quick wit not by diving, fly kicks, nipping or laughing at players getting sent off.
Ally had class which certainly he hasn't , I've said it before and I'll say it again, Brown was a very lucky captain of the scum, he wouldn't have half his medals if a strong Rangers team were about in the time he was captain, when we eventually got a strong team his form floundered .

It has absolutely nothing to do with bravery and us not being able to handle Scott Brown winding us up. The problem was his constant diving to try and get our players sent off and eventually it worked. There was at least three examples when he was barely touched and fell to the ground like a sack of potatoes.

Kevin, do yourself a favour and say nothing where yer pal is concerned. Regardless, Clancy and other refs who fail to reprimand Lego are the main source of the issue.

Lego - he’s like a snidey Roy Aitken.

what did they ask him for a fucking love letter ffs

also KT nobody gives a shit about your pals wee gestures he has an IQ of 10 we know that its the cheating he gets away with if you dont understand then dont comment

good thing will come out of this piece is will put some of the "future gaffer" crew off him

Agree. For a guy who wants to be Rangers manager, he’s really not doing himself any favours.

He’s protecting a cheat here.
I wouldn’t have him as a Rangers manager based on how he talks. His track record will obviously be key in any future consideration to the extent that I wonder how much weight is put on the esteem in which a future candidate is held in the eyes of the support.

In that respect KT treads a very thin line at times for me Grigo.

I honestly couldn't care less about what Brown did. It's all part of the game and up to the ref to be strong enough to clamp it.

Simple as that.

100% with you TC.

Scotty is his own person and gets to do what he wants to do.
Is the key phrase here.

KT has always stood up for Brown, who’s surprised.
I’d like to hear his definition of what constitutes “winding up” Elbowing, throwing himself on the ground, hounding referees etc., etc.

Can we expect Brown to behave like this in every game? No, thought not. It’s not part of his game or just the way he plays. It’s the way he plays against Rangers, and that’s it.

KT was a decent player, that’s all, barely that, a bit of a clogger really. It may escape him, that because he claims to have “done the same” doesn’t really say anything in the grand scheme of things, because Mr. KT you are not a barometer of anything and I hope no youngsters are basing themselves on your, or his, attitude to the game.

A lot of people judge people by the company they keep.

So Kevin Thomson advocates cheating, diving, elbows off the ball, baiting fellow professionals etc.

There’s defending your mates and calling them out for the cants that they are. You tell a lot about a person about the company they keep. Rangers should rid this moron of any involvement with Rangers.

As others have said, fkn do one Thomson, you’re certainly no true Rangers man.

Speaking on BBC Sportsound, he said: "Anyone can knock him but the reason he’s done so well is the reason there is so much animosity towards him from other fans.

"If you’re not big enough and brave enough handle Scott Brown winding you up then that’s on you.

"He does what he does and has had a brilliant career and continues to do and if ever you wanted a chance to knock him off his pedestal then this would be it and some of them still struggle.

"It’s not the way I was or what I would do but Scotty is his own person and gets to do what he wants to do.

"He’s had an unbelievable career that anyone in Scotland could only dream of.

"You need to be big enough and hard enough to deal with it. If you can’t deal with Scott Brown winding you up then that’s your problem.

"I played with and against Scott and he’s one of my good mates – I’d go to the gutter for him any day of the week and vice versa.

"I love him to bits and I’ve had to say that in front of 500 Rangers fans in a social club before and get booed but I won’t change for anyone and it’s the same for Scott.

"When we played in Old Firms against each other there was no banter - we want to war. When I played with him we went to war together.

"You would want him in the trenches with you and Aberdeen have landed on their feet getting Scott Brown.

"He’s been on one side of the Old Firm and one side doesn’t like him and the other love him."
It’s a fair point to say you have to stand up to his wind ups. What is indefensible is his regular attempts to con refs by feigning injury. That’s plain cheating

Who led him on to the punch on Radio Shortbread? If it was Kenny McIntyre, he deserves a kick in the stones.

Mischief making by the media parasites and KT was only too happy to oblige because he’s not wide enough to avoid a soundbite pitfall.

I've really never understood the absolute love many people have for Thomson. He was decent for us - but no more than that - in my opinion. The way 'KT' is talked about on here you'd assume he was up there with Gascoigne or Souness.

Overall, Thomson is not a character I'm especially arsed about. And the idea that he is Rangers management material is, frankly, laughable.

This for me.
He was an excellent player forms us, but he was never one if us.
Agreed. I’m not sure if he was brought up a trainspotter but he ain’t a dyed in the wool Bluenose, that’s for sure. Does he want us to win? I would say yes, but he’ll have splinters in his arse when we play against that shower from Leith.

Im sure anyone in Scotland wishes that

Classing mcgregor and Davis in that too?

I like him but sometimes I believe he marks out for himself a bit too much and borders on saying things the fans think they want to hear constantly every week on comms

Less said about that Porteous comment
