Only Disappointment - Fans at Full Time

It looked sad.

The lads went up to collect their medals and our side of the stadium had already been abandoned.

The players deserve so much more than they got from the support last night.

The Ibrox crowd has been the difference this year, and yes the stadium sounded like a nightmare, but last night was now or never and we were simply outsung despite being the majority.

We may never live to get the same chance again.

The fans as a whole were pretty poor, they were out sung form the first minute until the end.
I'd have given my left bollock to be in that Stadium, yet our fans just sat there quiet as mouse's when being outsung by the Germans, who also had no water and were in the sun.

The players needed a lift, their fans gave them it constantly, ours didn't.
If you werent there then dont talk nonsense.

Quiet as a mouse. Utter nonsense

Why were the Germans louder though? Were they being treated differently in terms of facilities and police enforced waiting?

Completely agree that folk were dehydrated and/or had planes to catch, what bothered me was the lack of vocal support, hardly heard a peep until the half hour mark.
Yeah they got the run of the show.

They ripped all the UEFA banners down from their section and not a single thing done.

We couldnt get battery banks in but they were able to stroll in with massive banners, lay out flags etc

My only disappointment after tonight is that every Rangers fan should have stayed and applauded the team for there efforts when they went to collect there medals and the amazing run they have had.

The bit looked empty as they went up

They made us dream

They made us proud
We lost.

It was disgraceful from UEFA, also no directions around the stadium etc when entering or leaving the staduim back to the city.
We ended up paying €20 for a moped taxi ride back to our hotel, a great way to a brilliant day
Might be someone different but might have shared a taxi with you and your mate to the train station this morning

Sorry for not wanting to be stranded in Seville and having to leave to go and catch my bus, along with hundreds/thousands of others, back to where I’m actually staying.

What a ridiculous post. Some of us were barely hanging on after hardly any concourses being open during the game and the Spanish turning off the water half way though the game so we couldn’t drink any water from the taps. Guarantee 80% of the fans were dehydrated some what. Plus a lot of us traveling afar for morning flights.

Gave the player our all for the duration of the match with poor stadium conditions to battle. Get me home.

We were out the ground straightaway as we had to get back to drop 2 off at Faro.

We are in a few hours to Lisbon.

Some on here just want ro criticise the fans with no facts.

We were treated like shit today. 40 degree heat in the ground for 2 to 3 hours before the match, no water, police removed power banks which meant very little battery left. Even after the game the police were dicks. Toilets were not working in the neutral zone either for a couple of our group.
On the way out of the stadium my mate jumped into the toilet for another blast of refreshing tap water and said that they’d even turned that off at full time.

I wasn’t there but if you consider they stood for a full 90 plus 30 and penalties,Also arriving early in those conditions I’m surprised some of them lasted that long,Even before the penalties some of them looked ill.

Bottles of water were either taken off us or they insisted that the top be removed so difficult to carry without spilling in the crush to get in.
Also, we shouldnt have had to be prepared by bringing in water. It is not unreasonable to expect to be able to buy water in the stadium
Do you being drinks to Ibrox or buy in the stadium. You are not allowed to take bottles into most stadiums these days
In those conditions I am surprised they were so strict with water. Don’t know why I expected any humanity from the Spanish police though.

I think you have to give credit to the eintracht fans, they were incredible really, lot of work obviously behind the scenes over many years by their ultras / the club / general support to get it to flow like that with The organisation / choreography/ organisation involved, the old German efficiency thing in action

I’d read they had 7 trucks to take that huge flag to Seville!

My mate said people were collapsing from dehydration,
It's was genuinely ridiculous.

Said this on another thread.. I has to resort to picking a used, empty plastic bottle off the ground and filling it up with tap water in the toilets.

Packed in like sardines with no juice or water available from before kick off. Was a very long night.

The major disappointment for me tonight was our fans. Completely outsung from start to finish bar a few minutes. Maybe they were just too pished to realise the significance of the game but I was extremely disappointed in them.
You are talking a load of rubbish.

You have no idea how bad the conditions were in that shitehole of a stadium.

The Germans fans were given a police escort to the ground and could take in whatever they liked including flags, flairs and a gigantic Tito.

We were searched and had belongings taken from us.

When that final whistle went I stayed for 5 minutes and then had to go in search of water outside the stadium. Everyone was the same.

The fans that let us down were the idiots singing the BB’s on several occasions. I managed to get one to stop and he said he didn’t realise it was a banned song by UEFA.

Honest question, why weren't you there then? Tickets could be bought right up until an hour before kick off.

That was your only disappointment?

Wow

Be careful how you judge, man. I know what you are saying. But a lot of the bears likely hadn't had a drink of anything for nearly 5 hrs by that point. People actually needed to get out the stadium.

Yeah because only we were subjected to the heat and dehydration! It was clear from the first 15 our entire support were shiteing themselves (understandably, but embarrassingly) whilst the frankfurt were singing what seemed like start to finish. Any singing TBB’s at least they opened their mouths to support the team

But there wasn't a shortage of water at their end. We were treated differently unfortunately.

There is no right and wrong here.
Basically we are all gutted and if you have followed our club all round Europe then you know we’ll have different things going on.
I had to get my phone back off a mate so I could fly home today, another mate had lost his passport. No need to abuse a fellow bear especially if goes to games and spends thousands doing so.

You are talking shite son my voice still hasn’t recovered.

Another In a long list today of threads on the fans back , from eh someone that didn’t stay behind but didn’t go :D.

definitely lessons to be learned for the club on power of working together, can't just leave this stuff solely to the UB.

but that's the next stage of our rebuild, off the field operations.

Yeah, catching transport home and no water would not have been issues if we'd won and were not issues for our opponents.

I've got no complaints at all about our team who have exceeded all expectations and performed magnificently in this run...but the 'fans' in the stadium tonight were utterly pathetic.
Fans knew what was coming mate and were nervous, nothing wrong with that poor display from word go intensified that . Did you go to Seville ?

We left about 5/10 minutes after the penalties. Had drove 4 or so hour drive from Cordoba to Seville, via Malaga, plus 3-4 hours in the stadium in the baking heat without any real hydration, plus a 40 min walk to the car and a 1.5 hour drive back to Cordoba.

Absolutely laughable that's being raised as the "Only Disappointment". Most fans were absolutely shattered and either had to leave to catch planes, buses etc. or just needed out the stadium for food and drink. Also the pain of losing a European Final in a penalty shoot out is horrific, and I couldn't stomach watching Frankfurt lifting the trophy.

The atmosphere wasn't the greatest, and I put that down to the lack of a decent portion of ST or regular domestic/European away support. Guaranteed if the stands were full of people that were at the Leipzig game at Ibrox, the atmosphere would have been electric. Some of the comments on here are a disgrace. Hardly our fault that our end was full of folk that couldn't point out Ibrox on a map.

The vast majority were yes.

"a large porting of fans leaving early" are actually... you know, at the game to leave it early TBH, the at the game bit is pretty important.

It's easy to turn on the TV and watch a game of football, going to a game generally involves a f*ck load more investment
Most of us us have invested a lot more than “the large portion”. Certainly I have.
I’ve no idea about yourself.

It stuck in my craw that 7 of my colleagues (who don’t go near Ibrox)fucked off to Seville with tickets and I missed out by 4 mygers points.

Sorry, I’m not going to sit and praise that.

If "the most" you mention had invested more than most of those at the game last night, they would have been..... at the game last night TBH

You also seem to have got yourself a bit lost here, as this is all in reply to

"A large portion of the fans leaving don’t" as in, live it.

That will be fans who, last night, travelled to Spain, spent the money doing that, invested the time, effort and emotion into it, while then being called out by people who.... sat in their house and turned on a TV

It is pretty easy to see which of those two groups is more invested than the other TBH - people who sit in the house and comment on fans at a stadium have lot complete touch with reality TBH, and clearly have zero sense of irony.

And you’ve completely lost all rational thought too.

Loads of die hards moved heaven and earth to try and get a ticket.
You want to sit and praise guys with substantially more means but don’t normally go to games(real armchair fans).
Nope, not me.

And yes, I am going a bit off beam now.
So, I’ll pack it in before I burst a blood vessel.

I haven't TBH

Person in house saying "A large portion of the fans leaving don’t" is kind of hilarious, given they haven't been at the stadium to leave it.

“Were you at the game, caller?”

After being in a 35 degree stadium for more than three hours after walking two miles in the same heat to get to the stadium, I’m willing to give people a pass for wanting to get out of there as quickly as possible. Especially when there was no transport back to the city and the Frankfurt fans seemed to want a scrap.
