Aye i think they will just leave it to rust awayanyone got any gen on edmiston house or do you think it will be shelved?
Can I get my £150 back and the £10 I spent on the champions wall which won’t happen either ??Aye i think they will just leave it to rust away
Maybe less surprising when you consider it’s Glasgow Council, I assume, involved.Looks like issues with the building warrant for the external face of the building, very surprising given the architect team involved
when was the last time anything was done?Passed it on way back from Hampden on Saturday no movement from last time.
Months agowhen was the last time anything was done?
I'd say no given its an ongoing projectCan I get my £150 back and the £10 I spent on the champions wall which won’t happen either ??
Pretty sure the champions wall was £50.Can I get my £150 back and the £10 I spent on the champions wall which won’t happen either ??
Bizarre you’d want to!Can I get my £150 back and the £10 I spent on the champions wall which won’t happen either ??
Now renamed The Wall of Champions I think, rather The Champions Wall.Pretty sure the champions wall was £50.
No idea what the board are going to do with this one. Surely even Robertson amd Bisgrove don't have the redneck to build a champions wall outside Ibrox when we gifted Celtic the league.
Bizarre you’d want to!
Did you buy it hoping for instant gratification, you have helped lay the groundwork’s of a significant and important building that will showcase our history
I'm hoping with the money we have made ,it will be full steam ahead to get it finished ,it's going to be a big money maker
Our prize money isnt being used for it.I'm hoping with the money we have made ,it will be full steam ahead to get it finished ,it's going to be a big money maker
Champions Wall construction starts soon£200 on this and the champions wall and I wonder every time I stroll by what I’ve paid for.
This thread clears Edmiston House up a bit at least.
I am assuming the champions wall never sold enough?
Our prize money isnt being used for it.
We got the rest of the funding from bears in corporate, mainly because some directors have no interest in it.
The building warrant withdrawal is only for cladding and due to change in materials apparently.
Work still starts next month, as they have been planned to happen since near end of last year, with it likely finished for 2023 but if things go well could come into end of 2022.
It was made to be a self funded project, hence the Edminston House package then wining and dining corporate bears when the funding from the couple of directors and the Edminston House packages fell significantly short.Go on...
Yeah your £500 could always be used as a family nameI see they are now selling family packages for Edmiston House. 500 quid for a family of two adults and two children, on the wall it will read 'The Kowloon Family'.
That always been the case? Sure it was only individual at the start.
If the planning department is anything like the council tax department then due to covid and staff working from home they’ll take ages to get a responseWas told before heading to Seville, that there’s been design issues with the concert/dance floor and it was getting moved closer to the front.
New plans had been drawn up but for best interests, all work was ceased till GCC approved the revised warrant application.
Think we have been playing safe with the SNP lead council in charge.
The general design is agreed its a cladding change and an output from agreeing contract value. Is this normal? You start building the framework without the designs being agreed?
Sounds a bit amateur hour to me
Never is.Was over today, no workers on site.
Suspect the euro run money will allow us to complete this.
We’d run out of money for it.
Thats why it stopped, funding was secured by the bears in seasonal corporate seats. We ran out of money.
Out of order , nothing wrong with the guySeanonce was under the table live tweeting the minutes!
He blocked me for criticising him for tweeting a piece of total misinformation. I wasn't rude to him; just asked him to withdraw or clarify what he had tweeted. What is it about him folk don't like - he seems ok on twitter?
Not normal in my experience especially with a building that is not that complicated or large in scale. Is this normal? You start building the framework without the designs being agreed?
Sounds a bit amateur hour to me
I wouldn’t say it’s unusual to change materials, but it is unusual to start works on site and then have such a lengthy pause. The general design is agreed its a cladding change and an output from agreeing contract value.
Not unusual for a project to change materials
I find it amazing to hear that some of our directors are not interest in this project .Our prize money isnt being used for it.
