morelos radio interview in spanish

I can believe and understand his comment about Pena.

IMO Pena is a great talent. We've just not seen the fully up to speed Pena........yet.

Common sense doesn't do too well on here mate. He's a dud, a waste of two million and Pedro should be strung up for such a terrible signing.

Apparently

I know mate :D

And i'll take a player like Morelos comments about Pena more serious than others ;)

Very interesting there regarding is comments about Pena. Let's hope he can settle and show us the talent he undoubtedly has.

Fans are entitled to their opinion and as it stands Pena has hardly set the Heather on fire.

Thats not to say he wont given time.

yea and we have had a thousand posts on Pena. all we wanted here was to see what Morelos had to say about him and what the rest of his interview said.

But we already know what"The Fans" think as there have been many many threads on it.

It would be nice when it is translated to see what Morelos thinks though.

exactly that was the whole point of the post but some people like to come in with the usual statements.

thats not the point, the point is what did Morelos say about him which means a lot more than what FF thinks.
Maybe so, but my point still stands and it was mainly those who have already written him off I was talking about.

Of course what Morelos has to say about Pena will be interesting.

The below was translated by our very own Hernan Pacheco, he posted it on his facebook and I hope he doesn't mind me posting it on here.

The first thing Alfredo Morelos said: "My transfer to the Rangers is super-important"

"When the talks began with Rangers, I had no knowledge of Scottish football, and here I started looking, the statistics of the club, a very big team here, I looked at the most important thing is the history of the club and that led to take the decision to come to this institution.

What does it feel like to play in a stadium like the Ibrox with 50,000 people?

"It's something nice, being in this great institution, with its tremendous history is something very important for my career, hopefully continue doing things the best way, continue to contribute much more to the team ... playing with so many people is something interesting, always full-house, always the fans supporting the team ".

How do you evaluate the beginning of the team season and for you personally?

I am very happy indeed, we did not start in the best way, I think we did not have the base team, we had seven player hires and we hardly knew each other. In football you have to win but what happened, happened, we are close to the Celtic, we are excited to do things well. We won the last game away our home, we have a positive mentality and goals. "

What is the elimination reading in Luxembourg? What is your balance?

"These games are very important, we wanted to continue and reach the group stage, unfortunately we could not, we were excited, they were lucky, we were unlucky, they came two or three times to the goal, what happened, was behind, in last"

How do you live inside the old firm, from the inside, the previous weeks, the sensations?

One of the biggest derbies in the world, a very impressive atmosphere, very nice for one as a footballer, here is something incredible, I experienced it. In that game is worth winning, the team effort. We could not have a favorable result, but there are at least three games against them, I know we will get good and positive results for Rangers.

How is Pedro Caixinha?

The professor (that's the way coaches are called in Colombia) is excellent, he always supports me a lot, he covers me, since I arrived in Glasgow, he told me that whatever I needed with him, I asked him, I could talk at all times with him, that he was not going to negotiate with me ever the attitude, the job, that I had to prove my courage every day in training, in games to bring the best to the team. I feel good with your support. He has always treated me in the best way. It always helps me to improve. And the relationship with the teammates, although I do not speak much English, there are colleagues who speak in Spanish, there is always a positive group, where we all contribute to make things right, always with smiles.

How did the city of Glasgow get you?

It is a beautiful city, with friendly people, very respectful.

What if you meet Celtic fans?

So far I have not found any. I only get Rangers fans. When I meet someone they will say anything, just like I will not understand because I do not speak the language.

Is Rangers the next step for Colombia's selection?

I hope to keep doing things right here and hopefully I can get a call for the national team. I am very calm these days, I am getting many important things for my career.

Who is the best player with whom you share a team? (the reporter asks short questions for a short answer)

So far, here, Carlos Peña

Thank fùçk! I have been in and out of this thread hoping that a good Bear would solve the riddle. Thank you.

I can't see what Morelos sees in Pena but the lad must know better than me so let's hope he's a good 'un.

Decent interview, can't help but love the guy already.

I'm really hoping Morelos feels that Pena can help him get goals because so far Pena has looked to have decent movement but hasn't looked creative at all.

Let's hope Friday sees him getting on the ball more and making things happen, as well as using his obvious ability to drift into dangerous positions.

I reckon he see's him in an environment of close control where he can show off his technical abilities possibly with more time on the ball to make things happen.

I can see it in Pena he has ability and the intelligent play however seems to behind when it comes to the flow of the game (if that makes sense)

First tells us about about playing in Columbia. Then goes no to say he had never heard about Rangers before. He's now delighted to be at the club couldn't believe what the fans were Like. Trying very hard to fit in and hopes to be very successful at the club. More or less

Apparently he’s good friends with Pena, so there’s every chance the question is referring to who is his best friend and it’s been lost in the translation.

Hopefully he can settle here and do some damage for us. There must be some talent in there if he's played for Mexico nearly 20 times. Not the best international team in the world but you'd think 9/10 of their players would stroll the SPL.

He's no where near his usual self at the moment obviously, just need to hope he settles.

They asked him to name the best player he'd ever played in the same team as and he said Pena. Nothing more than that. He also said that he couldn't think of any specific player he's played against who he could single out as the best.

Common sense doesn't do too well on here mate. He's a dud, a waste of two million and Pedro should be strung up for such a terrible signing.

Apparently
It’s all very well him saying that but as fans we have seen nothing from Pena to believe it. I hope he turns out to be good I really do but so far he has been a waste of money. So rolling the eyes smiley is all well and good but let’s see it on the pitch and I will be happy
