Said it on another thread last night, in my opinion he’s better than Jelavic who was the best striker I’d seen since Mols. There’s some other notable forwards in that period including De Boer and Cannigia etc. but Alfredo is seriously good. For me, he’s arguably the best striker we’ve had since Mols.

It’s really not unrealistic for us to be asking for a minimum of £20m this summer.

Great Post mate. It's scary that his performances are so good aswell as the goal return. Will be sad to see him leave. Makes it all the more mental how people in this country have treated him. It's like he's giving them a big "f**k you" with his performances lately.

I agree. If he'd been signed for half that he'd probably have been considered a decent signing. Players don't generally set their own price tags, and Murray overpaying wasn't his fault.
 
double his wages he's that important to us,pull out all the stops to keep him. 5yr contract and 20mill buy out clause

He’s not world class, but the bolded bit is rubbish. I could find you videos of Ronaldo and Messi missing sitters.

Look forward to watching him playing for and scoring lots of goals for a top class CL side in 5/6 years when at his peak.

People might argue about quality of leagues, opposition etc and say they can't be compared but I disagree. Aside from Rooney and Ronaldo none of the others were really at huge clubs/regulars or playing in the top league of their respective nations at that age. Therefore, I think it's a great comparison. Cheers for posting.

I liked him but yes the 12m was a tag around his neck and we were spoilt in that era really was porn wasn't it
 
Daly scored in eight consecutive matches, a purple patch between September 28 - November 25. He got 14 in total during that run.

Ridiculous amount of misses? That ratio (1 in 2. whatever strikes on target) is better than the majority of strikers you could name. I agree he can't be regarded as world class yet but that's only because he hasn't produced in a top 5 league or on the international stage (yet). However, to slate the lads finishing when he's scored a goal every other game continuously for 3 seasons borders on lunacy.

What the hell are you talking about? Not every shot goes in? What a revelation that is. Messis stats are only 7% better. And hes had a lot more shots than Morelos so hes missed a lot more chances than Morelos. Maybe Barca should sell him?
 
Has the OP forgot about him Forrest’s 57 goals in the 64-65 season ? Is that not the club record not mccoists 49. Obv out of reach for Alfie. Shame the board got rid of him Cos of the Berwick game. Could have stopped there 9 in a row
