Celtic face threat of multimillion pound compensation claim(The Times)

You and me both GY.

Not just Chelsea of course, but any team where the fans are as appalled as us at what's taken place in The Chamber of Secrets and been covered up.

A good team to get in touch with would be ajax, they hate the tims but like us. I would have got a doin if I had answered the other way when I was on a train full of ajax fans. Soon as they found out I was a Rangers fan they told me any hassle and they would sort it for me.

Exact same thing happened to me and a few pals travelling back from Europe.

Cast your minds back to when the filth played them in Amsterdam. Ajax were all over them in the bars.

No way do I justify violence but speaking to Ajax fans, Celtic fans brought it on by themselves. A very silly thing to do when travelling to the Netherlands

If the (unts get through the next round in Europe, Slavia Prague await.

“Jude Slavia” is how they are taunted locally.

Slavia fans would be worth contacting prior to should this match occur.

The first time they played them in the champions league(not the defunct European cup) the tims went to the Dam and acted like their usual scummy self's and wrecked the trams and pubs. Needless to say its escalated from then and the ultras dont mess over there.

Those preventative measures urged victims to call the special hotline set up by the club in '96, aint that right Fergus?

Club hotline for victims Celtic last night set up a counselling service to provide support for families struggling to cope with the trauma of the Boys' Club revelations. Announcing the hotline, Chairman Fergus McCann said: "Celtic Football Club has been receiving many calls from people and families in distress over the alleged incidents. "In addition to asking people to report allegations to the police, it is obvious many need advice of trained specialists." The support and advice Hotline opens today and will run for a week between noon and midnight. It is costing Celtic pounds 5000.

Maybe even Liverpool with the Stevie G factor? I know we tend to think of them as scum friendly but I don’t really think they are. Remember they had their own political fight against a horrendous cover up. Maybe the Gray’s could contact the families of JFT96 for help with how to take on the establishment?
I was thinking if English based bears could maybe get a banner into a live Premiership game? It would be worldwide exposure. We’ve always had a decent relationship with Chelsea. Maybe some of their fans groups would be up for it?

Man City fans displaying a banner stating "Do the right thing Celtic" would hit the nail on the head.

Look at this obsessed mendicant throbber.

He blogs about us.... writes books about us .... and posts links to these books on his blogs.

Fucking unbelievable the pish he spouts about the Celtc boys club Abuse Scandal:

https://www.google.com/amp/s/paddyo...om/2019/08/05/dont-throw-your-shite-away/amp/

That's the product of a diseased hate filled mind conditioned by a millennia of brainwashing right there.

I’ve seen this guys books being promoted on Amazon if you are searching for content on Rangers or Scottish Football. Judging by the covers they look akin to what Josef Goebbels was producing against the Jews in the 1939s e.g. Der Ewige Jude. Offensive caricatures and negative stereotypes. If you substituted another race or ethnic group it would be immediately called out and banned. However, in Scotland it’s just a wee joke.

That doesn’t even make me angry. I’m in personal contact with professional journalists. Journalists who are compiling facts.

But what is actually going to happen? Will we be here this time next year still talking about this? The mhanks on twitter are pishing themselves at the idea that a no win, no fee lawyers are somehow going to get money out them let alone justice for the victims. The silence is deafening and even more so since Hollicom have taken over.

i have full faith in the guys at the top on this, Celtic supporters are in Denial, they dont grasp the facts, i believe that a lot of them think it just a grenade thats been lobbed in to paedo park, and a wee bit of of mess has been made,we will just hire hollicom and clear it up,we on the other hand myself in particular can see the, the guys working on it have Launched a Tomohawk missile, but this time your bunker aint no good because it aint just one tomohawk the ICBMS are coming Launched from the USA, Australia and other parts of the World, the paedo dome will look like cathkin park does now,in ten years time it will be compulsory for all paedos to wear celtic tops to id them is Bheasts, Celtic will forever be associated with the BIGGEST paedo cover up in world football, and as Liewell sits among the ruins like the mayor of Hiroshima and says WTF, I can see the Hibs support increasing year by year, that is provided they are not part of it, the genie is out the bottle

They are in denial of everything. It’s all part of their religious cult.

Who? Thomsons?

Isnt there only 1 claim from the US? Who are claiming from Australia and the rest of the world? Not having a go but I just don't see this happening or unfolding like you describe.

I think they will possibly settle out of court and that will be the end of it. Yes there have been articles written in Oz and America but none of it suggests that there is some sort of penn state enquiry on its way.

There will be a documentary which will no doubt include us in the scope for parity to appease them. While the SNP are protecting them I genuinely havent seen anything to suggest they are not going to wiggle out of this.

Unless you are privvy to information I havent read yet? When was the last time Thomsons even made a statement?

They will live with the shame there is no doubt about that.

Chelsea's board have apologised "unreservedly" after a report found young footballers were targeted for years at the club by a "prolific and manipulative sexual abuser".

Quote " [The QC] is also heavily critical of former assistant manager Dario Gradi, who is accused of failing to tell more senior club staff about an allegation regarding the sexual conduct of Heath, brought to him by the parent of a young player.

Gradi's failure to report the allegation "was a lost opportunity to expose Heath and prevent further abuse".

The BBC has approached Gradi for comment. In his evidence to the review, he denied trying to "smooth over" the matter in a meeting with the boy's father. He also said he reported the allegations to the club's assistant manager."

Dario Gradi again. After what came out at Crewe with Barry Bennell it's like they stick to him like moths to a flame.

I take it that if you're going to ignore my correspondence Martin , I can add your name to the list of M.P.'s our group , Justice for the victims, is compiling for later use to show the electorate who has been complicit in the cover up of this National scandal.

Regards
R.K.

I sent my MP John McNally an email a week ago now and not had a response yet, so might want to add him to the list as well

As I said in an earlier post I don't want any displays or protests about this at Ibrox and I stick by it.
The last couple of days have reinforced my belief that going by the press coverage of rangers fans that if we do this I believe we will sleepwalk into giving the media the chance to portray rangers fans as on a vendetta against celtic. That's just what celtic would like to happen and belief me,that's whats going to happen.
Please don't ruin it all by trying to make it happen yesterday. If it takes another year or two so be it,these things take time. I am no lawyer and have no idea of the complexities of it all,but I have seen in previous years that they take a lot of time and effort by people and we should respect that.
Victims must come first and I don't believe that any display at Ibrox or any other ground for that matter will help speed up the process.
Regarding the banner at the legia Warsaw game, that was very understandable as it involved their club and they had every right to protest.

Folks. For those with the timeline of events and evidence. It would be hugely beneficial I believe to send it to the Guardian.

Their current headline story is around Bennel the sick bastard and his lack of reporting and how it links to Chelsea.

I would hope the similarities and the fact that the Bheasts failures are even more sinister and depraved would perhaps make them open to investigating further.

They have a facility to report a story via their website. Guardian.witness@theguardian.com

Hopefully someone can do the needful.

I respect your view as you know mate, but do disagree with it, albeit I think we should display in a smart & tactful way.

To me it’s a further opportunity to let the world know about these victims plight, and to show what that club is really like.

Just look at Chelsea’s release today. And for one paedophile, not a ring.

Football’s child sex abuse scandal: A timeline

Young footballers were targeted for years at Chelsea by a "prolific and manipulative sexual abuser" who was able to operate "unchallenged", according to a damning report.

Evidence from 23 victims details how former chief scout Eddie Heath groomed and abused young boys aged between 10 and 17 during the 1970s.

Here's how the scandal surrounding allegations of historical child sex abuse has unfolded:

16 November 2016: Former Crewe player Andy Woodward waives his anonymity in an interview with The Guardian to reveal he was sexually abused as a child by former coach Barry Bennell. He is the first player to discuss these events publicly.

23 November 2016: Former England and Tottenham footballer Paul Stewart tells the Mirror he was abused by a coach when he was a child. The coach is later named as Frank Roper, who has links to Blackpool FC.

23 November 2016: The NSPCC sets up a hotline with the FA dedicated to helping footballers who've experienced sexual abuse. More than 860 calls are received in the first week.

25 November 2016: BBC's Victoria Derbyshire speaks to Woodward and Steve Walters and Chris Unsworth, former youth team players who also waived their anonymity. They were all sexually abused by former Manchester City and Crewe Alexandra coach Bennell.

November 2016: Investigations by police forces including Cheshire, Northumbria, Metropolitan and Greater Manchester begin.

November 2016: Several clubs, including Crewe Alexandra, Manchester City and Chelsea launch independent reviews into historic abuse.

December 2016: The Football Association (FA), the governing body for football in England, announces an independent inquiry into non-recent child sex abuse, led by barrister Clive Sheldon QC. The Scottish Football Association also announces a review.

2 December 2016: Ex-Chelsea player Gary Johnson claims the club paid him £50,000 to keep quiet about allegations against former chief scout Eddie Heath, who is now dead.

11 January 2017: It is reported that the independent review into allegations of child abuse in football has made its first call for evidence, writing to all football clubs in England and Wales, amateur and professional, asking for information about allegations between 1970 and 2005.

10 April 2017: Fresh allegations of child sex abuse are made against the founder of Celtic Boys' Club, Jim Torbett, in a BBC Scotland programme. He is later jailed for six years after being convicted of sexually abusing three boys over an eight-year period.

19 February 2018: Ex-football coach Barry Bennell is jailed for 31 years at Liverpool Crown Court for 50 counts of child sexual abuse.

3 July 2018: Youth coach George Ormond, who worked for Newcastle United's youth system in the 1990s, is convicted of a string of sex abuse offences spanning 25 years.

7 January 2019: Michael "Kit" Carson dies in a car crash on the first day of his sex abuse trial at Peterborough Crown Court. He denied charges related to 11 boys under the age of 16. He worked at Norwich City, Peterborough United and Cambridge United.

12 March 2019: Manchester City sets up a multi-million pound compensation scheme for victims of historical child sexual abuse carried out by former coaches at the club.

14 May 2019: Jim McCafferty, a coach and kit man for the Celtic youth team, is given a further jail sentence after admitting a series of child sex abuse crimes. He is the fourth man connected to Celtic or Celtic Boys' Club to be found guilty of historical sexual abuse in the year to May.

23 May 2019: At Bournemouth crown court,Bob Higgins is found guilty of 45 charges of indecent assault against teenage boys. Most of his victims were trainees at Southampton FC and Peterborough United.

That SFA enquiry is becoming the stuff of legend.

All of us in here want to see a justified end to it, but this isn't your typical case. How do you think the victims and their families feel? They need it to reach a conclusion more than we do, but I'm sure they want it done right. That's absolutely paramount so the parasites get everything that they deserve and the victims get whatever closure they seek.

There are so many victims and so many perpetrators, so it may take a while yet, but it will happen. They're done.

That's fair enough mate, but we have a media and political system up here protecting them. After all the negativity that's went on this weekend,I can only see any display and protest being turned against us. Our name is mud in this country and wether we like it or not,it will be used against us. As I remember they basically called out the aberdeen fans for singing paedo's at them to deflect from their own mob abusing mcinness. Remember that they have their man who gathers unjustified sympathy in this country and you just know that the media will be outraged at the abuse he's taken at the game.
I just think it will be used against us and the way things have gone over the weekend,I'm sure we're walking into a trap.

So when do you expect the first case to go to court? Havent all the trials finished or is there more?
