This is not the fault of Dallas

I am not going to blame any individuals, but I have to say the tactics and game plan was strange, and the referee was not a cheat he was the perfect example of how poor Scottish referees are.

For every single opponent in this league apart from one, the difference in budget and quality should mean that the opposition manager could ref the game and we should still be winning most weeks. We are failing due to our own shortcomings of lack of depth and quality. Not because of referees.

It’s certainly not his fault we dropped points but I don’t think it’s asking for much to be referreed to the same standard as every other team in the league. Unfortunately this attitude towards us appears to be endemic amongst this generation of referees and it will take a whole lot of pressure on the part of Rangers and a complete overhaul of officiating on the part of the SFA to change anything

Ref was brutal, we were brutal - quite lucky not to lose that game.

Make changes, and we move on

Our midfield possibly notwithstanding Davis was lacking any urgency. The intensity of our press has disappeared and even Alfie seemed a touch off today. We need to find our tempo and the results will quickly follow.

In no way, shape or form is todays result down to Dallas.

We have suffered big time without Tav & Jack and it doesn't help that other players are of the boil atm.

Dallas had a shite game but the blame lies it Gerrard and the players door.

For those saying that he did not influence the result, lets look at that.
He let sheep players away with fouls that in any other game he would be booking them for. So lets look at the facts, if he had booked some of the defence for their tactics do you think they would still be flying into tackles with studs up?
No if dullas had laid down the laws of the game then their defence would have been less robust and some of our players may have been able to play without being hauled down, or having their mouths split open.
We were shite today but the sheep should never have had players on the park.

The ref had an impact on the game. If he refs the game correctly, he books and sends off a couple of their players. The dynamic of the game changes massively.

We have to play better no doubt, but to absolve the ref and the officials of any issues is wrong. They operate for the benefit of one club and it ain't us.

The ref was woeful but frankly so were we. We could easily have lost that today.

Puts to bed the notion of us signing cosgrove, he'd be off the park every week. The dirty big plodder.

Can't it be a combination of the two?

They are not mutually exclusive positions, surely?
100 percent this, brother.

We underperformed. But the referee's inaction allowed them to foul and break up play in critical areas for the ENTIRE game.

Our forwards will get more space and stay on the ball more if players have to think twice about fouling. You get into key areas by getting past players. If they have no hindrance to fouling and closing this attacking avenue out, you have been cheated.

We were poor, but to say the ref's performance had no impact on the game would be wrong. Shocking one sided approaches to what constitutes a foul.

You boss the midfield, fight for everything and score goals and the Kunt ref will have little influence on the game. The fact of the matter is we done none of these things again today.

That's not true.

Both have influence. Not booking players allows them to keep making fouls just to disrupt the game and waste time (Like Cosgrove), and also if they were booked they would be more cautious thus meaning we are more likely to win 50/50s (like Logan and Taylor)

Instead we end up with Barisoc and Goldson booked for absolute posh compared to some of the fouls he let go. Dissent and a tug yet fouls where the player was clearly out of control and off the ground are let go.

if the sheep are down to 8 men, then they probably don't win

just another cowed ref in this hole of a country where they are scared of their fans

It’s not one or the other. It’s a mixture of both. Primarily the blame lies with the players, but ignoring Dallas’ performance out of some sort of staunch defiance, doesn’t move us forward any.

Ref was a cheating bastard but it's no surprise and it's up to us to play well enough to ensure that he can't cost us.
