Morelos Finishing Is Not Good Enough

It's hard to believe the Alfredo we have watched lately is the same player who was terrorising defences home and abroad before the break.

Morelos has rarely ever had finesse to his play imo. He’s more of an instinct player, having any time to think about what he’s doing more often than not as of late leads to a monumental %^*& up. He’s looked absolutely terrible lately.
 
Hes been so disinterested. Didnt look eager at all to do anything, couldve caught a ball at the byline but let it go out cause hes downed tools and doesnt care anymore.

Kamberi? He’s not been a bad backup/addition. His form of late has been poor but it’s hard to start someone ahead of him given his return this season.
 
Lacking confidence at the moment and definitely doesn't look as fit as he could. He always just seems to try and hit the ball as hard as he can.
 
We need to back him and support him, we shouldn’t be slating him. Instead the coaching staff need to work with him to figure out what’s wrong with him both mentally and physically.

He is an excellent player on his day. But he’s not had a day in a while, though he was great against Braga minus scoring. Something isn’t right with him just now, maybe needs a short spell on the bench while we work him back to his best.
 
His finishing isnt the issue. It's his mentality that should be questioned.

Morelos looks like a player who knows his time at the club is over. Its moved on from being about the club to being about him. Everything winds him up. His head goes down if things arent going his way.

He'll be gone this summer. Another season would potentially damage his value.
 
Generally he's playing like he was was when his head was turned to offers from China in 2018, but it's just as well the Rangers support kept their feet on the ground, didn't claim he was worth 30, 40 million and that he was the best Rangers player of the last 20 years.

No finesse is a good way of describing it. Just blasts everything at the goal in hope and is missing far too many chances.
 
Cant finish anything at the moment and by %^*& does he love a shot from a impossible angle. If he gets the ball in the box on either side of the six yard box he's fucking shooting it, could be just him and another rangers player in the box wouldn't matter he'd still shoot.
 
The "we need to get behind him as well" as if the Rangers fans have done nothing but back him in his entire time

He has carried us at time yes but it's time to be honest here.

He has to take a portion of the blame. In fact quite a bit. For his own sheer stupidity that sending off against the mentally challengeds has helped kill his momentum and left him returning to a team relying on a pre Christmas Morelos

Even in the week against Braga. He just doesn't learn. Another game missed. And to be honest if he never got booked and Kent's not being so awful I'd have put Kamberi in as his replacement

No one is going to take him. No one is going to pay considerable money for a striker who has led the line for a team that's won FA for the past three seasons. I'd have thought the lack of bids - which most people on here thought were coming at Christmas - would help support that idea.
 
He's really went off the boil since the restart and we have to persist with him as we have no one else at the moment to play ST.

Not on Weds mind, the European Wing of Opus Dei cabal have pure seen to that as well.

So when Morelos was on almost 30 goals 5 months into the season and was top goalscorer in the Europa league, you wouldn't have said that we should be demanding top dollar i.e. 30 million pounds plus? Or are you one of those that wanted him punted to China for 8 million quid?
 
A very good player and a very good striker. However, very off form at the moment as well. A decent managed would have given someone else a run.

No doubt he'll get back on form but this is where we need the manager to take control. Play someone else for a bit,. Give another player a chance.

A couple of appearances off of the bench will do Morelos no harm.
 
Guys struggling at the min. Carried us first half of season . Others need to take responsibility.stevie g needs to drop um fur a few games n try n get him fit again .

If you think we were getting 30 million quid plus (plus!) for a player based on (primarily) performances over a five month spell in Europe and Scotland then I'd say that was mental, yes. The lack of serious bids along that evaluation tells you that every other club in the world thought that was mental as well.

Appears to only blast the ball , no finesse or composure when required. Also offside too much.

There's nothing new in this. He's been missing sitters since he got here, most strikers do. He lacks composure, lashes at everything. some go in, most don't.
He will learn this. probably after he has left. He is what he is.
Raw, unpolished, impetuous. Needs to develop composure.
