My take on it as a Falkirk fan.
I'll try and keep at short as possible.
A lot of my friends were Rangers fans, barely knew any Celtic.
If a Falkirk game was called off ( or if we didnt have a game ) I would go and see Rangers.
When half time scores were announced, Rangers winning would get a cheer.... there used to be quite a number of Rangers fans who would go to Brockville occasionally.
Some songs sang at games would these days get us into a lot of trouble.
The Union Flag was a common sight.
Rangers games at Brockville during the Premier league times would be underlined amongst my friends as a all day session... mixture of Falkirk and Rangers fans in the Hope Street end.
For around 10 years from late 70's to late 80's Rangers would play a pre season game at Brockville...Rangers would give up any gate receipts they were due.
If on our way to a game it got called off... first choice game to go to was Rangers.
A lot changed since then, mostly down to the media brainwashing the population into believing that the only bad guys where at Ibrox ( I noticed this around the time when Graeme Souness took over )... without mentioning much about them over the other side.
I myself and quite a number of others didnt buy into it... but a lot did ( probably in line with the rest of Scotland )... it has snowballed since then into what I would call a witch hunt.
2012 came along and they grabbed that with both hands and ran with it.
It astonishes me that with all that's gone on behind those abusive doors ( east end lot ) , it's mainly been ignored by regular fans.
They should be boycotted at every chance and not given a penny from any supporter of any club.
I understand totally from posters here saying that Falkirk fans are a right shower of c***s...I know that because I stood next to them... but one thing they are is 100% committed and loyal to their club.
The majority of old school Falkirk fans are if the same mind as myself... the ones I know and associate with.
Right now I'm hurting like %^*& but we have to battle on.
Genuinely the only shining light for me this season has been Rangers winning the 55.... I'm not here to suck up to anyone, that's my genuine feelings.
