Was it the scarf your father wore? I lost mine in the flitting to Canada back in the 70s.I'd honestly pay that
As a present to my boy
As that was the scarf my father gave to me
I will get a look on eBay
Cheers
One went on eBay tonight for £120.50 and apart from a small stain was in perfect condition
There's another one going for £200
I don't see why someone doesn't make replicas of these.
They'd sell like hot cakes.
what about the one with the pin stripe and the fringes
Us auld guys were getting a slagging on the old board about a month ago from the young pups!!!

rampants
That's the one I had way back then, used to fold quite neatly into the suit pocket if you were going straight out somewhere.

Not sure think they were straightWere the ends not an angle. too? Rather than being straight across?
Edit - 8-1 just posted a pic which is closer but the one I recall had fringes on the ends and was silkier, shinier

This was a recurring theme on the old forum. I'm trying to get my RSC to produce some old fashioned scarves. They'd go down really well with members and would be available for general sale. There's another one going for £200

Most of the scarves in the 60s and 70s were class, wish I had kept them.
