If that’s the case then zero need for a squad, players should have the pressure of knowing theirs players willing to steal their starting position

He's carrying an injury of some sort anyway can see it in him when he's playing.

If Nathan doesn't batter the ball off the left backs ribs and legs about 40 times he'll have done better than tav of late.

Selection is OK. Lundstram needs to contribute and contribute well, he has had a terrible start.
Defence, Centre bakcs in particular need to screw the nut.
Forward play must be creative and threatening from more than one approach.
Itten should perhaps asking to get out if gerrard won't play him or use him correctly. If he doesn't fit our style or any change one, I'm not sure why we bought him and wasted a year of his career.
 
I am happy with that lineup, perhaps would have been nice to see Kelly over Lundstram but if Kelly had a howler it might destroy his confidence, better to ease him in during easy league games.

Hes clearly not up for playing every game mate.

Gerrard alluded to it before the livingston match.
 
Happy with the team, glad to see Patterson and Bassey start, shame Kelly was not giving a starting slot. Lets see how they play and hope that they have a good game and if they do, they deserve to keep the shirt.
 
The Watch Live button is now active on RangersTV for overseas viewers. Erskine placeholder screen. On desktop at least. Not sure about on App - I wouldn't use it unless in dire straits. Its a bag of sh*t.

If he doesn’t get 30 minutes tonight he’d be as well sticking in a transfer request. Looks like we can’t come up with tactics that give him a platform.

A shame for Itten. He seems like a great lad but it's not working out. It cost him his Euro place with Switzerland and he's not getting the required opportunities.

He'll score goals but just not for us. An odd (and expensive) signing, given the way we play.

Some of the takes about Goldson are hilarious nonsense. He does look like a player who is being affected with the noise round him but he's the vice captain and one of the biggest leaders in the dressing room. His future needs sorted and fast but some amount of nonsense being posted about him.

There's a few on here that would have struggled with not being able to give him and Tavernier stick last season.
 
It's probably a decent game for lundstram to get used to playing with the rest of the squad , still not sure of him !
 
I get PTSD listening to highlights with Hugh Burns on co-comms. How he lasted as long as he did will forever remain a mystery.

Well that’s a concern. Keep him for the bigger games. More chance of mistakes as not playing regularly. If that’s the case then make McLaughlin the number 1 - not that I think McLaughlin is good enough for that title. That’s not a dig at McLaughlin as he’s fantastic back up, just not capable of McGregor-esque saves, which keeps you in games and wins matches. Like last season on countless occasions.

Any way. That team should be pounding an attack minded Dunfermline who were pumped at the weekend.

We'll see, he's come exactly as Sheff United fans described him, technically not great, and very poor desire and work ethic. Though he's a "unit".

Its early days for Lundstram and he should be given time. However, he's in for a wake-up call, just like others before him from England, if he believes he can just stroll around the pitch up here. The pace of the game could just pass him by.
