Dom McKay leaves Celtic

“Dom McKay is resigning. He’s unhappy with the influence Peter Lawwell still has and has mentioned this to DD. Lawwell has been tasked with finding potential DoF for interviews. McKay feels he should be the one reaching out to potential candidates but DD has told him PL will be doing this. McKay has took it upon himself to resign mainly due to this and also other issues going on in the background. Relationship between him and DD has completely broken down.”

The WhatsApp message doing the rounds for what it’s worth. Probably not far off the mark to be fair.

Sounds like absolute shite tbf.

As soon as Lawwel took his role beyond the veil, Dom was never getting the reigns. He was only ever Peters puppet since he fucked it up so badly.

You've got to wonder if the magnitute of the CSA cases were fully explained to him before taking the role though.

Personal reasons...which means he personally can't be arsed dealing with paedophile cases in court whilst attempting to rebuild a complete shower of shit3.

The stench from torbett towers is fuckin putrid.

Michael has been a senior executive of Celtic for 8 years and has been at the heart of decision making at Celtic working closely with the CEO and the Football Department.

Commenting on the announcement, Chairman, Ian Bankier said:

"We thank Dom for his efforts on behalf of the Club and everyone wishes Dom and his family very well for the future.

I would also like to welcome Michael to the Board and look forward to continuing to work with him to deliver future success for the Club."

All a bit of a shamble. You can just tell that all is not well across the City.
Director of Legal eh?

Wonder why they would put him in charge?

He was cut off at the pass every time he wanted to do something. Season tickets sold and refund date past so all pretence was lifted.

Step up Strachan hahaha
Dare say it must be something to do with that, since the SFA have said to Strachan to carry on at both Clubs, now there's a surprise, yet within 24 hrs McKay quits. Get the feeling he's been undermined, not just by Strachan. There's no way McKay has picked out those players they've signed.

Don't think I've liked so many posts in one thread before this.

Some of the comments are on point and worth a chuckle.

Wait!

You mean to say the company and club are different areas of the plc?
