Bus.........a toilet that doesn't flush.......36 hours........one 'tape' of songs.
It'll be the making of you.
@Yorkhill_True_Blues
Someone in Munich got left behind. It was out of order, imo and the wee guy must've only been around 16.
Goes back to the bus after the game, convenor countingheads x2 missing. The guys pal comes back on the bus saying ge can't find him. We waits and the longer it gets folk are getting a bit restless and the driver has obviously said to the convenor we need to make a move soon or we miss the ferry we must've been booked onto.
Loads of folk shouting just to leave him, the wee guys mate by this time looking pretty shaken up, bus convenor with a decision to make.
The bus left him, and his pal behind.
Outrageous. When the bus started moving the same rockets shouting to leave him, were now bawling at the convenor it was out of order. Fuckin bizarre.
Transpired the missing guy was so pished he fell asleep in the stadium toilets and was found by security. The boys had to go to our embassy to get put up and 'wired' money from their parents for flights home
was on barry's bus that oneOnly done the bus once to Osasuna in 2007. Flew from Belfast to Glasgow on the Saturday , beat celtic on the Sunday ( Ehiogu 1-0) then 27 hour bus to Spain on the Monday morning. As others have said great going but absolute nightmare coming home. Worst part of the trip was the train & boat back to Belfast which was full of bead rattlers on their way to Belfast and Dublin for St Patrick’s day. Glad to say I’ve done the bus once but flying definitely the way to go.

You forgot to mention the sick swilling about the deck.
Nithsdale bus to Boavista bucket for toilet..A feckin toilet?
Luxury!!!
with extra tests on topThankfully it's not 1988 anymore and cheap flights are available. Imagine a bus all the way to Prague!
Done that for the Viktoria Zizkov game in Prague 2002. First and last bus trip! As others have said, it's brilliant going but coming back is a nightmare. We got beat 2-0 which made it worse.Thankfully it's not 1988 anymore and cheap flights are available. Imagine a bus all the way to Prague!
In hindsight, he did. As you say, it's the bigger picture as opposed to an individual. It didn't sit right with me at the time though. It's a tough one tbh mate.
Aye it's not nice leaving someone, especially someone at 16 but you can argue that if he's big enough and old enough to travel himself he should be responsible enough to make sure he's back on the bus - and trust me I'm someone that's got pished and made a cnut of it many a time.
I think (for me anyway) you've got a whole coach to answer to and look after/be responsible for and obviously the ferry to catch or you've an even bigger problem.
Bus journey's like that where it's literally 24-hours worth, it's a pressure cooker with no sleep, drink and even drugs with some of them. If you waited and the boy made it back to the bus 3 or 4 hours later or whatever you've got tension all the way back and more than likely arguments and fights will break out due to it.
I know it sounds out of order, but I think the bus made the correct call - for what it's worth.
Oh yeah, forgot about that. You should really tell that story more often......only heard it twice.....have you mentioned the porno yet?
I'll stick with Plane.......plane.....train.....bus.......
But on way back........
Bus......Taxi......train......plane.......
Brilliant times
I hear you mate. Convenor was in a no win really. Folk shouting at him to leave were the same ones giving him grief when the bus pulled away.Alot of bears especially newbies on the euro scene need reminded , most of the time its not a jolly
there is times and places buses/fans need to be ect before the game and after the game.
and to note alot of gers fans act like rockets
I agree with bus convenor made right call after trying
The boy was never making the bus if he had fell asleep in the toilets at the ground though was he? Would imagine it was hours later he was found.I hear you mate. Convenor was in a no win really. Folk shouting at him to leave were the same ones giving him grief when the bus pulled away.
At the time I thought it was outrageous, and it didn't sit right. On reflection and being a bit wiser in my years then he done the right thing.

I know the feeling I was on the Mount Florida bus and took the flu on the way there. Thought we were never going to get through France. I think that was the trip to Parma that one of the Parks buses broke down on a mountain pass.Parma 98
I think the lowest point was travelling down through France toward Switzerland on the Monday morning having got the midnight sailing from Dover
Snowing heavily, it was freezing
Hadn’t slept a wink
Couldn’t drink anymore warm lager
Heartburn
Needing a shite
Number One Platoon blaring out (again)
Only another 12 hours to go
Parma 98

I went to Austria by bus for a school ski trip and I would honestly rather stick pins in my eyes than do it again
Think you were on the same ferry as us then, the midnight sailing from Dover on the Sunday night, I’m sure it was us (Ayr and District) Mount Florida and Kinning Park.I know the feeling I was on the Mount Florida bus and took the flu on the way there. Thought we were never going to get through France. I think that was the trip to Parma that one of the Parks buses broke down on a mountain pass.
The duty free on the ferry we were on crossing to France for Parma got plundered of all manner of things. Also there was always some halfwit on your bus who would get caught shoplifting in the duty free shop on the ferry
I think we were 10 minutes out of Dover when the tannoy announcement came over “would the bus convenors of Ayr and District RSC please report to the pursers office immediately”
what bus you go onBussed it to Livorno, Osasuna, Auxerre, and Lyon.
70's was when I did my euro trips, no toilet on the bus, a couple of 2 day trips as well!!Nithsdale bus to Boavista bucket for toilet..
Left on Saturday night after Bheast game back on the Friday night.
That was an epic journey!!

Then heading through France stopping at a service station, quite a few buses, and folk were literally just helping themselves. Cue the Police arriving and stuff was getting chucked onto the forecourt etc to avoid possession. Someone on our bus had pinched a massive stuffed dog and lobbed it out the sun roof, was comical seeing a big stuffed dog dropping out the sky from the bus window
I was mate. I'm sure I mentioned it to you in the passing.Parma eh. Were you there? You never said
