First name that came to my mind.In terms of clean sheet % to games I'd be amazed if Chris Woods wasn't top.
Surely McGregor should be pushing to get into the top 10.Can contribute this from before start of this season.

No, but he's well clear in the "Goalkeeper Assists" listSafely say big Peter McCloy won't be at the top !
Does anyone know if such a list exists anywhere?
I’d love to see those stats.
He wouldn’t be that far off the top tenSafely say big Peter McCloy won't be at the top !
I’m notGenuinely stunned McCloy is at the top of that list.
Feels like he gets an awful lot of criticism!.I’m not
A brilliant keeper
Saw his whole career for us
Before the internet people just spoke shite in the pubsFeels like he gets an awful lot of criticism!.
He doesFeels like he gets an awful lot of criticism!.
I think he played over 600 games for us. Although the list is about Rangers shutouts, he must have had some during his time at Motherwell before he signed for us in 1970.Genuinely stunned McCloy is at the top of that list.
As did I mate and he was nowhere near as bad as people make out. A very competent keeper who happened to make some mistakes just like every other keeper. You dont play the number of games he did if your shite. Posters on here paint him as an earlier version of Cammy Bell its mental.I’m not

Gotta be eyeing Van der Sar's 266 this season. Just about doable... And if he gets it we get 56 I bet!Can contribute this from before start of this season.

Top 10 this season is a must surelyWow. Shagger has a shot at top 10.
Fair play to guys like Howard who played a bulk of their games at lesser clubs.
He played for 15 years at Ibrox.Genuinely stunned McCloy is at the top of that list.
Absolutely.He does
Usually by people who never seen him
He was solid for a long time
The disdain for Peter McCloy on here is sad.No, but he's well clear in the "Goalkeeper Assists" list
McCoist sitter in that game as well when he was up 30 mins too early for a header and an open goal.Absolutely.
I’ve no idea why, but he seems to be remembered more for a gaffe in a game where the goal didn’t matter than 16 years solid service. Here’s a sampler of the way I remember him most.
After Billy Ritchie we had a number of keepers who failed to consistently perform well. For me McCloy fell into the same bracket. What he did have was an ability to regain the jersey from Kennedy and Stewart who for periods were far better keepers. He does

Jim Stewart was an average goalkeeper. He wasn't as good as McCloy. After Billy Ritchie we had a number of keepers who failed to consistently perform well. For me McCloy fell into the same bracket. I just grabbed that one from YouTube as it was top of the list, but my younger brother was at that game. Long trek on a supporters bus.McCoist sitter in that game as well when he was up 30 mins too early for a header and an open goal.
Woods played 173 games. If that’s correct that he kept 120 clean sheets that’s some record.According to the Sharp file:
Peter McCloy 214
Jerry Dawson 166
Allan McGregor 162*
Stefan Klos 143
Willie Robb 131
Bobby Brown 121
Chris Woods / Billy Ritchie / Tom Hamilton 120
George Niven 113
Andy Goram / Herbert Lock 110
*I'd say McGregor is now in second as this was last compiled at the beginning of last season.

Somebody has a riddy. No, but he's well clear in the "Goalkeeper Assists" list
Played more games than the rest.Genuinely stunned McCloy is at the top of that list.
The Prince of goalkeepers, he would have lost several years to the war though - which is probably his record isn’t as good.Played more games than the rest.
Must admit, the first name I thought of was Jerry Dawson.
Would be interesting to see if the war years would take Dawson above McCloy. The Prince of goalkeepers, he would have lost several years to the war though - which is probably his record isn’t as good.
Feels like he gets an awful lot of criticism!.
It's across all competitions. He played 230 games in total for us. But he has the best clean sheet % as someone else said in the thread earlier.Woods played 173 games. If that’s correct that he kept 120 clean sheets that’s some record.
The table I posted above includes war time appearances. He would be second with 166.Would be interesting to see if the war years would take Dawson above McCloy.
