5 Scots Have Scored In Serie A

That boy has done very well for himself, he's taken a career gamble, expanded his horizons and he's a starter in a good Empoli team.

He should be getting a bit of respect, if only grudging.
T******s with at least one root vegetable as a parent get no respect from me.

To paraphrase the old joke at the Glasgow Empire.

Jesus Christ there’s two of them!
Three if you count their mutant Da

I got the 3 that most got. Started trying to think of defenders. Just shrugged my shoulders when educated with the two i missed.

A really disappointing end, to a question i thought had potential to remind me of some greats from the past.

Without checking the thread...

Law, Harper, Souness, Jordan, Hickey

Alternate choice: Henderson

Why on earth did I think Harper played in Serie A? Didn't Law have another Scottish player out there with him. That's who I was thinking of.

Tried googling it to see if there was any players from a few decades ago - i had heard of Giovanni Moscardini who was born and grew up in Scotland but later played for Italy and scored for them in the 1920s. He played for Lucchese and Pisa but it seems neither were in Serie A at the time.

Anyway another player of interest that came up even if he didnt score in Italy was William Aitken who played for us 1918-1919 then went onto manage Juventus 10 years later (would have played for them too if foreign players weren't banned then). Not only that we had another player in the 1920s called Billy Chalmers who went on to manage Juve too! Not sure if this is common knowledge but i'd never heard of them before and that is quite a link to one of the giants of world football.

And it's one that Juve should be bloody proud of.

It certainly aint common knowledge.
I only stumbled on this a few months back, purely by accident, and did some research on the pair of them, and planned to do a write up on them, I just never got round to it yet.
Fascinating, that we have two former players who went on to manage Juventus, and yet I have never heard or seen this mentioned anywhere.

Hickey
Henderson

Absolute mind blank after that.

BTW Henderson looking a right good player at Empoli this season. I have a large collection of butt-plugs.
