There was a wee toaty stand between the beach end and the main stand which I blagged my way in to back in the day.
Kicked out there too.

Always looked as if it faced the wrong way.
Needed a stiff neck to follow the game.

We used to get the whole Beech End when it had the wooden benches

We could only get tickets for the Merkland Road end and must have about taken off when Butcher scored in that memorable game and first title since ‘78.

I haven’t been to that place since the early to mid 90s.

That was a wee family stand, I remember my dad taking me to a game in the early 80’s in there.

We also used to get a small section of the main stand next to the Merkland, think I was in there as well for a game or two.

A time when football didn’t hate itself into paralysis.

Plenty fans on both sides welcomed in abundance to matches. No petty boardroom, social media backed campaigns.

Just good solid hatred on the terraces, fans first and proper atmospheres.
