Accies future in doubt?

One of the most vocal in his backing of the SPFL and the corrupt vote to hand the mentally challengeds the league back in April.

He didn’t seem to have any issues with the Dundee vote scandal and clubs being financially bribed.

An utter prick of a man.
Les is a Rangers man as well.

You have to wonder how guys like that actually got into the jobs they have. I can't believe he's even gone public with the fact the council were giving them 300 grand a year for office space.

Hamilton Accies and Colin do some absolutely stunning work with local charities. Homelessness, addiction whether that be drugs, drink or gambling etc. At huge expense, supported by the club and loads of local sponsoring businesses. Would be a huge shame for them to not be able to continue supporting that.
He is doing nothing more than expressing huge concern to a South Lanarkshire decision to vacate the stadium offices.

Lets not be little bitches for no reason.

This is the biggest danger to our title challenge.
I really do think some clubs will go to the wall and fear the SPFL will use it as en excuse to void the league.

Why should SLC give them a backhander of £299k if they move out? As a Council Tax payer I will be fxcking raging if they donate this money to them.
If it means they don’t fold before the end of the season and we can win the title, I hope the council pays up one year!!

300k a year for offices in Hamilton seems a very high rent unless there is a blow up multi-storey office they put on the plastic pitch between games. Would not like to be the person that agreed that deal.

Away from the football they do a lot for the community, I can see his point in that the council indirectly fund some of that community work by renting the offices. Prob come to some agreement in the form of grants etc to keep the initiatives going.

I also hate the pitch and the people involved are questionable before I get jumped on.

They wouldn’t and couldn’t void the league.
They are looking for the power to make decisions. They had their first attempt beaten but they will try again.
They easily could void the league if a team or two fold.

So if you don't take the lease, at least give us £299,000!
Maybe a team with a grass pitch will take over their gaff.

Your joking right ? They can do what they want . They did it last summer. If the members voted to void the league then the leagues void. Was it last month the spfl released a document asking clubs their feeling on voiding the league . If they want to and the spfl/Celtic or whoever can get the support then the leagues void and we can’t do anything

Accies might use a portion of the money for good causes. However, council funds shouldn't be used to prop up a football club's charity work.

I'd rather see £300,000 being used by the council and regulated properly rather than being handed to a football club for office space.

Can't believe someone would actually write so many words without knowing what they are talking about.

SLC take the entire stand of offices at market value. They were purpose built for them internally and for their uses. The offices in a normal trading year would comfortably get 300k per annum. Colins point is they are bailing during a pandemic and leaving little to no chance of renting given current circumstances.

Les Gray was in thrall to the Fat Japanese as he bowed and scraped before the Peasants to give them a bogus title.

Worse than that, he’s Mulraney‘s puppet and hoping to be his VP at the SFA

Is it market value though. How much space is it based on Hamilton rental levels. I would be amazed if that is market value. 300 K will get you a decent amount of prime office space in the city centre. If they are used as offices I can’t imagine they are purpose built, like space used for specialist labs or so ?

Maybe their is a reason

I'm sure the alcohol abuse charities run by Colin within Accies will love your throw away stupid fùcking comments. Do a wee bit of research before openly looking for likes.

If that was supposed to make me feel bad, it failed.

The letter genuinely looks like it was written under the influence. It just does.

That information will be published in the accounts.
more importantly, when COVID is put in the past, many many people working from home will continue working from home permanently.
Companies have seen the benefits and will no longer rent offices any more.

I don’t want them to go bust but plastic pitches have no place in top flight football. If they can’t afford a grass one, they’re in the wrong league.
