As prestigious as they come at this level. Doubt you'll get many other tournaments competing when it comes to media coverage & facilities they had as well. Real Madrid, Bayern, Roma & Spartak all in it this year.
First British club to win it. Man United, City, Tottenham, Arsenal & Celtic all been in it previous years.
How prestigious is this tournament at -17 elite level ?
The roma no19 looked olderbrilliant!!
Well done Boys.. especially as some of the tallies looked suspiciously older than 17
Let's see if our pals at Radio Shortbread mention it tomorrow
Head Coach: David McCallumWho are the main coaches at that level?
Oh I don't know, a snide wee dig at a tournament they'll pretend isn't all that. Question the quality of your opponents. They can't help themselvesNot a fucking chance.
Blast from the past. Did you also produce the "Pyongyang chosun few" polo shirts? As a random aside, I have met tonight's referee on a couple of occasions. She took charge of a couple of friendly matches that I helped to organise in Pyongyang about ten years ago. Thought she had a decent game today.
Brian Gilmour who featured in "Blue Heaven" all those years ago (am assuming it's the same guy) & Graeme Smith keeper coach/ex-player were also interviewed post match in the studio - and both spoke very well IMO - especially GilmourHead Coach: David McCallum
Team Manager: Craig Mulholland
Pretty sure I saw young Kai Kennedy go up to collect the Tournament MVP (Player of the Tournament) trophy. He was outstanding throughout - whether he was played on the left wing, right wing or central midfield. Outstanding prospect.
Is this the same team that opted out the domestic league last season to play European teams?
If so, what a pay off
Philip Mc CrackenDoes he have a name?
