Cammy Bell, Steve Simonsen, Lee Robinson
Shudder
Remember people thinking Robinson was good...
A trio of dreadful keepers.
Should have just given Alexander a 4 year deal the day we were demoted.
Getting rid of Alexander and replacing him with Bell was one of the most bizarre decisions I can think of. Regardless of how much Alexander was on a week.
He's even softer now.I bet Bell was on good money as well.
He really was soft as shit.
Dreadful in every department of goalkeeping.
Always remember this bizarre article in The Sun just after Bell had signed where he was "interviewed" by Andy Goram. He spoke as if he had made it, with this weird self-congratulatory thread running through it that annoyed me at the time.
The thing about Bell is that he has always been a complete lightweight. Even compared to Wes he just looks like a wee boy. I think people forget just how bad the mess Warburton had to deal with was.
Any time I see his name I can only think of Fir Park. To be fair he was in good company that day, that game more or less summed up that entire team. The bigger the game, the more likely they were to shit themselves and disappear into their shell. Probably the most spineless Rangers side I’ve ever had the misfortune of watching.
As for that photo, he’s clearly no stranger to a fish supper.
He was highly rated while at Kilmarnock and was tipped as the future Scotland number 1, it didn't work out but everyone was buzzing with the signing at the time.A shocking goalkeeper who wouldn't have been signed if he wasn't a Rangers fan. Sums up our recruitment at the time

He was like a prime Buffon compared to Simonsen and RobinsonThe Motherwell disaster taints the memory of him.
He was an average keeper, decent enough for the level we were at and better than some of the other dross we had on the books post Neil Alexander.
Jim Stewart takes ALL the blame on that one.A shocking goalkeeper who wouldn't have been signed if he wasn't a Rangers fan. Sums up our recruitment at the time
I'm still less fond of Nicky Walker.
Far too small to be a top goalkeeper. Frightened half the time too.
Simonsen was far worse.People like to exaggerate when talking about the worst Rangers players ever - but he is the worst keeper we've had without question.
Signed for them in the summer after being released by Partick ThistleIs that Falkirk?
Sorry but ally maxwell wins that every timePeople like to exaggerate when talking about the worst Rangers players ever - but he is the worst keeper we've had without question.
Walker was far superior to Bell .
