Celtic face threat of multimillion pound compensation claim(The Times)

Scummy bastards. Hope the %^*& they get severely punished for this. Makes me sick to the stomach. What kind of world do we live in that, A: people can abuse kids, and B: people know about it and cover it up.

A silence that harmed many.
C: a compliant media which regards tax affairs as more serious than paedophilia and D: football authorities including clubs with the same standards as the media.

Billy Seymour how sad is that guys story and he died in a car accident tragic, and the same circumstances and similar stories come out again and again.
Self medicating with alcohol or drugs having anger issues, and a feeling of low self esteem and carrying all the guilt it's all too common I'm afraid, and no one seems to care about them except their devastated families.

The compensation for a life lived like this is never enough and given the amount of money in football it's disgusting these people and or their families are still carrying this horrific burden.

The money should start at 5 million not the measly amounts that gets given, to have a life taken away and live in shame, and the families then have to suffer as well, they should be paid appropriately and the perpetrators should get sentenced for stealing their lives. not just sexual assaults.

“During their investigation and the subsequent trials, the police provided very clear instructions to the club, telling us not to contact any victims or potential witnesses as this could have adversely impacted those trials. This included instructions to us not to make any public statement in relation to the ongoing criminal process. This means that we are unable to contact any victims and survivors until the sentences from the criminal trial have been delivered and the police have confirmed that they no longer have any objections”

So the police told them not to contact any victims or potential witnesses

Yet we have Lieswell admitting they had a secret 2 year investigation into the abuse scandal

So who the f.uck were they talking too during their alledged investigation?

Prof Tomkins might want to ask Lieswell and the police have Nonce FC been in breach of any laws

This 2 year investigation was running when 4 beasts Torbett Cairney King and McCafferty trials and police investigation were running

This surely should be a crime?

I think Lieswells lies need outed

I’m sure I read they hadn’t spoken to any of the victims while conducting their supposed investigation.

Has their aim been to phuck up the court cases against their employees as it could be argued that they couldnt get a fair trial thus clearing their filthy club at the same time?

Southampton apologised for the actions of a paedo at their club. The scum can’t apologise because it’s not the fact there was a paedo it’s that there was a paedo ring and it was covered up for decades and is still being covered up. We know the journos whose silence shows they’re fine with that and they won’t be forgotten. They can produce a single side article as “proof” but they’re still covering up.

They didnt say that until they were exposed by Helene Gray mate. She said her or any of her abused contacts hadn’t been approached.

Or Three years ago when her son called to explain he was abused, was told to leave his details and they would call him back as they were doing an internal investigation.

Why would any abuse Survivors give their details back to abusers, what an vile cult they are.

Retweet every newstory about Celtc peado ring, share on Facebook, no matter who the author. Make it the first story anyone sees when Celtcs name comes up.
They've recently put up some deflection pieces to hide the shame. Don't let this be kicked into the long grass like Scottish media want.

Absolutely shocking BB.

If that had been handled properly that young man could have been alive today. Very very sad.

I said this before the 2 year investigation by the insurer is a damage assessment in my opinion. Firstly to assess if the claim would be valid on them and secondly how much will it cost them. There has been no investigation in to the extent of any wrongdoing or anything for the victims. Which brings me back to the first part of the assessment. If I’m an insurer and discover a massive cover up by the club why would I be paying out for claims that should have been dealt with at the time had the club done the right thing then, it would have probably been a different insurer picking the bill up for a start. However, Celtic have not followed the process of law, so there’s a dereliction of duty, if your house is robbed cause you left the front door open and claimed without the contacting the police they would not entertain it. I just cannot see an insurer paying out for this.

If the insurer investigating found evidence of massive CSA and a subsequent cover up would they be obliged to report to the police?

It really is a cesspit of a club and it is always really sad for all the victims regardless of any cultural divides, they were wains ffs, wains! History can’t be changed but those responsible must be held to account and all of us need to keep this agenda high on every and any forum, independent public enquiry, nothing less will do. Chase them anywhere, everywhere they infest!

There was no 2 year investigation!

All seems to have gone very quiet again

Not for long.

Celtic and Lawwell have been smoked out of their lair, and this isn't going to go away.

Adam Tomkins is all over them like a nasty rash, and we have Patrick McGuire holding their arse over a burning flame as he ramps up the threat of court action.

The SMSM have also turned on them in a way most of us would never have thought possible.

Life for #Celticknew and their supporters is getting more and more uncomfortable with each passing day.

Social responsibility
Football, as an integral part of global society and as arguably the world’s most popular sport, has an invaluable role to play in driving social development and bringing its influence to bear.
Under the slogan of RESPECT, UEFA social responsibility is a systems approach that strives to promote sustainable development in all aspects of football in cooperation with stakeholders. This is not at the expense of profits; it is about how profits are made. UEFA aims at developing the game in a process, which manages the economic, social and environmental impacts of our activities, so that future generations can continue playing football in the best possible conditions.
In practice, we work together with the 55 member associations to make football across Europe more socially responsible and sustainable ─ 54 out of 55 member associations engaged in this initiative in 2016/17 by submitting and implementing projects.
At a time when negative impacts of climate change are felt across the world, UEFA makes every effort to organise its events in a more and more sustainable way. Among the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we have identified SDG 13 Climate Action as a priority.
For the 2017–21 cycle, the UEFA responsibility portfolio consists of the following partners, and builds upon this work to tackle strategic themes that concern its main stakeholders (see below).
Core partners
Football Against Racism in Europe (Fare) network
– racism and discrimination
Cross Cultures Project Association (CCPA) – Peace-building and reconciliation
Terre des hommes (Tdh) – Child protection
UEFA member associations – Solidarity/football and refugees
Centre for Access to Football in Europe (CAFE) – Access “Total football total access)
Football for All portfolio:
International Blind Sports Association (IBSA) – Blind
International Federation of Cerebral Palsy Football (IFCPF) – Cerebral palsy
European Deaf Sports Organisation (EDSO) – Deaf
European Amputee Football Federation (EAFF) – Amputee
European Powerchair Football Association (EPFA) – Physically impaired
Special Olympics Europe Eurasia (SOEE) – Intellectual disabilities
Associated partners
South Pole Group
– Sustainability/environment (carbon compensation)
World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) – Sustainability/Environment (climate change)
European Healthy Stadia Network – Health
Homeless World Cup – Inclusion
As an innovation, in cooperation with the Sport and Rights Alliance, human rights criteria were included in UEFA’s social responsibility bidding chapter for UEFA EURO 2024, and the UEFA club competition finals from 2020 onwards.
The social responsibility communication campaign #EqualGame is part of the Respect programme, conveying a positive message with a focus on inclusion, access and diversity.
Furthermore, as part of its stakeholder management, UEFA is committed to ensuring that the needs and viewpoints of supporters are taken into account in European football governance. UEFA recognises Football Supporters Europe (FSE), an independent representative and democratically organised body, as the official interlocutor on fans’ issues and as one of its key stakeholders. UEFA implements the Supporter Liaison Officer project through Supporters Direct-Europe (SD-Europe), and the Disabled Access Officer project with the Centre to Access to European Football (CAFE).
UEFA recognises the essential nature of social responsibility, and in the vice-to-virtue spirit, fines imposed by the Control and Disciplinary Body contribute to the budget and are reinvested into the social responsibility and sustainability programmes outlined above.
Finally, the major part of UEFA’s core business can be seen as evidence of its commitment to social responsibility. Anti-corruption, anti-doping, Financial Fair Play and many other elements of UEFA’s business functions contribute to a more socially responsible and sustainable UEFA, and have a positive impact on society.
There are numerous other facets to the UEFA social responsibility activities; its DNA evolves constantly in tune with current affairs and the social environment.

UEFA is pleased to announce the publication of the UEFA Football and Social Responsibility Report 2017/18. Please find interactive digital versions available in English, French and German via the following links.
This report is the first of the 2017–21 UEFA football and social responsibility (FSR) cycle. In addition to covering the 2017/18 season, this report reviews the progress made during the whole six-year period from 2012 to 2018, as well as focusing on good practices relating to UEFA's social responsibility objectives and projects with national associations and key partners.
The FSR unit has also added new strategic topics to its portfolio this season: human rights, child protection and football for refugees. These new topics are the result of a 2017 strategy review that, following extensive stakeholder consultation, highlighted the increasing relevance of these topics in European football. They also reflect UEFA's ability to adapt to a changing social, economic, and environmental landscape.

One of UEFA's core partners is Terre des hommes (Tdh) (Child protection.) We should be writing letters to UEFA and Tdh asking if a club covering up child abuse is fit to play in the champions league. Also if Celtics refusal to admit responsibility falls under UEFA's RESPECT banner.

and let’s never forget that.

No, I think Scotland will be quite unique.
North Korea is a dictatorship and we all know it.
Scotland would be a democracy actively acting against its majority, and winning!
Scotland is a lame duck democracy! The SNP hold onto government due to their separatist support. The unionist majority vote is spread over 3 parties meaning we’re fucked! SNP don’t and won’t have enough for independence, but have enough to stay in government! They need crushed! Can’t see that happening they’re Teflon!

This is where the Protestant community need to come together and work out a stratergy, to defeat the Republican takeover of the SNP. By strategically voting whoever can beat them in any given area

Exactly, the only credible opposition is Ruth and the Scottish conservatives in my mind. All unionists should just vote them, even if some are tactical to get the SNP to %^*&, then we can move on as a country!

Voters who are anti snp/republican need to start voting so,as not using the vote suits snp/ republicans because if your not voting for them they don't want you voting at all

Tompkins yes,mc guire no,he's been threatening legal action but nothing other than threats.
SMSM are not changing, some have published stories but some are still issuing fantasy tales (transfer leaks, treble bus shambles, larsson returning as coach) to deflect the heat off them....we need more hammering of them in the media with concrete evidence.
Too quiet for my liking,i'd love the sfa and spfl to be swift and demote the scum down to 3rd tier before next season but they, likw the govt, are not interested in the least.

Post email contacts and consider it done

I couldn't find any e-mail addresses. Any web contact links ended with most asked questions. That is why I only posted their mail address.

Same here, Dave570. I did a bit of digging and found a 'Contact FIFA' form in the FIFA website. I've submitted a form, quoting UFEA's link with 'Terre des Hommes (Tdh) – Child Protection', and asked if someone at FIFA could provide a contact address with the appropriate UEFA office.
