Celtic v Hibs in January moved back 2 days without a Hibs agreement, Hibs not happy

When the transfer window opens.
Guaranteed they will get some in

the Filth’s current method of identifying and short-listing potential signings hasn’t exactly delivered quality in the last two transfer windows - it’s not suddenly going to improve between now & January, no matter whether it’s Treacle Teeth or A N Other occupying their manager‘s office.

January signings tend to be over-priced, or predominantly squad players who haven’t had much game time in the first half of the season. Often a bit of panic-buying involved too

Earlier in the season Kilmarnock, who had a whole team isolating, requested that their league game at Livingston be delayed by a few days as their players only returned on the Friday.

Livingston refused and the SPFL instructed Kilmarnock to play the game.

Now the unwashed want a game moved by a few days (same as Kilmarnock) so their players can go on a winter break (poorer reason than Kilmarnock's) and their opponents refuse (same as Livingston) but the SPFL agree to their request on the basis they are the home club.

There is, as far as I am aware, nothing in the rules to cover this and if the two clubs can't agree the game should go ahead as scheduled.

On the plus side - karma paid a visit to the Tony Macaroni that day and a Kilmarnock team with little prep time pumped Livi 3- 1. Here's hoping karma turns up again on the 11th ;)
You know what, Kilmarnock will say sfa about it guarenteed

It’s the principle of it that stinks mate.

Hibs said no that should have been the end of it.

They came back from Dubai last year a different team.

They need people out first.

They spent just over 10 million in transfer fees in the summer, an ageing squad with other players looking at or rumoured to be waiting to leave.

They can throw money around all they want, there is a near mutiny over at the Chamber, they have just doubled down and backed Lennon, BACKED him, backed a man the fans don't want who is 2 wins in his last 10.

They need a rebuild and there is zero point of more cash getting thrown at it when they have no chance of making the CL, if they don't win the league this season they will 100% have to cut their cloth.

We will have to cut cloth next season as well if we don't make the CL.

We went to Dubai came back and lost our Mojo, they won'y do any good over there but probably a good place for them to hide after the New Years result against us.

They do as they please and shouldn't be allowed to.

Hibs rightly angry and they should insist the game goes ahead as originally planned or demand the points.

The league seem to have made a precident here if we continue to do well and fixtures start piling up we should then be able the league we want games moved to suit and if they refuse kick up %^*& with them.

I have no recollection of there being any reference at the time of this apparent rule regarding them favouring the home team if the clubs can't agree. Doesn't mean it wasn't mentioned I just don't remember it being relevant.

This is the first time I am aware of having heard any mention of this rule.

Thought it was simply a case of the original schedule date standing if the clubs couldn't agree.

As you say hopefully the bheggars suffer the same fate as Livi.

You would think that Blair would have at least asked for full in writing confirmed details of their trip to include flights, names, accommodation, itinerary, Covid measures, etc, before agreeing to it. Something you would have thought the scum would have planned at least 1-2 months ago.

In all probability they only decided at Fridays zoom meeting. Desmond or Lawwell will have asked TLB what he planned to do to fix things and he will have rambled on about the new player lounge at Lennoxtown.

Probably then said something along the lines of "pity there's no winter break we could do with getting away together even for a week" at which point the fat Japanese will have told him to pick a date, apply for a fixture move if necessary, and he will see it approved.

Nothing now stopping Rangers requesting moving a Sunday fixture at Ibrox to a Monday after a Europa League Thursday tie. Gives the squad another day to recover.

It seems to me like a last throw of the dice. It worked last year so let’s do it again
