Celtic verdict: Latest derby disappointment demonstrates their problem isn't Rangers but themselves

Why do plebs like this not over analize games such as them against Dundee United whom they also couldn't beat, amongst others this season.

They bigged up the game to take the glory, had a fortnight to prepare and still couldn’t beat The Queens 11 on their own shithole with 4 referees even at times a knackered looking Rangers still could have taken them .
Putting it simply tey are dire and in deep shite and king may it continue. WATP

They brought their A game. Rangers brought their C game. A draw is a fair result. Rangers turn up in the mood and they cruise to a win.

How many times over the years has the team winning the league doesn't win in this game, form goes out the window and all that, were they printing that when we played them off the park in the league Cup final? A league is won by the better team over the course of a season.

Load of drivel with the usual selective memory lapses . what he's saying in a nutshell is if Celtc had won the games they didn't they would have won the league ( ironically what we did ) and if we had conceded more penalties than we have done then it would have been closer . They forget that it's only a matter of a couple of months that we went a full year without being awarded a penalty in the league. Keep it coming Tim we're all laughing at you.....GIRFUY

Laughed at this bit

"means Rangers’ past five derby goals have all ensued from set-pieces."

If he is counting Goldsons second in October as coming from a set piece and ignoring the wide play between Arfield and Kamara, the block of the initial shot and then the tap in as a set piece then he would have been as well writing

"means Rangers’ past five derby goals have all ensued from kick off."

Bitter lady's front bottom. Glad he is hurting.
It seems that they are all going with this all our goals have been from a set piece, they must have forgotten how they got ripped apart for Goldsons 2nd.

There was the slightest contact when Borna Barisic slid in, but potentially not enough for referee Willie Collum to award a penalty. Certainly the Frenchman did exaggerate the touch on him in how he hit the ground, with Collum decreeing that worthy of a yellow card for simulation. So he admits it wasn’t a pen.

Rangers have fared well on such contentious moments this season, it must be said, What’s contentious about something you admit yourself wasn’t a pen.

and it is remarkable that 15 months have now elapsed since a penalty was awarded against them in the Premiership. Ah, narrative....

So it wasn’t a pen, but let’s make it a contentious talking point so people’s backs are up to drive the conspiracy that it’s not the fact people aren’t in our box that’s the root cause of the lack of pens, it’s a fix.

If we even assume that that article is written in good faith (it isn’t) and the points made are relevant to a recovery for them next season (they aren’t), it’s all irrelevant because over half of their starting eleven yesterday won’t be there or they’ll be trying to replace for next season. Any good result they get from from now til the end of the season is the last flickers of defiance from a dying team, it will offer literally no indication as to how they’ll perform next season.

One thing they may want to consider, when you look at their performance yesterday there is talk of the stand out performances by players, but what does it mean going forward:

Elyounoussi - on loan so potentially gone at the end of the season.

Edouard - into last year of contract so cash in time, or he sees out contract for a personal payday but 'protects' himself.

Laxalt - on loan so potentially gone at the end of the season.

Brown - had two weeks off to prepare for this game, obviously worked for him but can only play 1 game in 2 weeks now, next season?

So their best 4 players yesterday are not there to build for next year. What does that leave them with, based on yesterday?

Turnbull - wonder player, wonder where he was yesterday?

Christie - Anonymous

Rogic - Cameo, spends most of time on bench counting his money.

Soro -
Must be looking at escaping, he came into a failing team and did his bit but consigned to bench

Griffiths -
Parody of himself.

Bain -
Best of a bad bunch of keepers?

Forrest - Can see him becoming the new John Kennedy.

That leaves Ajer and MacGregor who if they stay when the top 4 go become big fish in a little pond, but basically sign off their careers.

The point is, yesterday was quoted as being their fight back and the beginning of their challenge for next year, and don't get me wrong there was some slick passing from the front two but two things, they are both leaving and they never actually converted those chances. No point in being clever for clevers sake.

Watch the game back, take out the top 4 players on this list, slot in Kimala, Griffiths, Soro and Taylor and try and picture the result.

Deflect, deny everything, yip ticks all the boxes for your stereotypical deluded Tim. They are not taking this well, let’s keep the 55 celebrations going.

They have never dominated a game against us since Gerrard came in.

If anything when there is a level playing field, I.e. when both teams are refreshed and injury free, we have played them off the park (LCF, 2-0 at Ibrox 18/19 and 2-1 at parkhead 19/20).

He fails to omit that off the Celtic starting 11 today ...

eduoard - away
Ajer - away
Laxalt - away
Kenny - away
El yanoussie - away
Christie - potentially away

going into next season they only have Griffiths as a striker, only big julie Anne in defence
Even big Julie is now rumoured to be looking to get away (to Marseille)

Shocking, former Celtic View reporter talks up Celtic. As long as they continue to believe crap like this, the better for us.

Their arrogance is astounding, still telling the world how shite we are whilst trailing by 20 points.

Based on this perception and view of the game their strikers must be shi&e as they are not converting chances their defenders cannot defend set pieces so thier values must be pretty low

Hopefully the new Tim management believe the 'we're the better team, only lost it because SFA, SNP, covid affected us more, Masonic Refs, No fans... etc'. That's the level of stupidity that will add to the points difference for next year's title... roll on 56+

I think it's a bit pointless folk like Brown telling us how wonderful celtc really are when most of them are off in a matter of weeks anyway .

World Champions again! I hope they actually believe the shit they spout!

17 lines devoted to a non-penalty and the guy lies to say contact was made...shambolic article!!

The incident can be summed up in two words...Eduoard Dived!

Bwah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha.......oh please, stoppit.

My ribs canny handle it.

Wouldn't look out of place on Kerryfail Street site.

Bitter, much?

Okay, what am I missing here? Sorry if this has been posted before.

We won the league by a mile. But for the sake of argument, take the Rangers out of the league, the way Reid and his co-horsts did before.

Re distribute the points among those we took points off, that would be everyone. Celtic win the league against a bunch of non-entities by 15 plus points. Kinda like they did between 2012 to 2017 in their glorious 8.75 in a row run. And that was with CL money.

Point being, they are no better or worse than they have been in ten years. They beat shitey teams but are humiliated in Europe.

It's only when the big boys come around again, and show them how a real team performs, does it show up how average they actually are and have been - and how mediocre the rest of the "Sell-Out Saturday" league are. Just behind the Rangers? Keep the useful idiots thinking that. This is the reason why you are, and will continue to be, so shite, One top class player and the rest bang average. 1988 all over again.
