Much of the cynicism in regard to the inertia practiced by our club over the past twenty years in regard to the concerted onslaught wrought against our club is entirely justified. With Murray I suspect any inertia/neglect was to avoid scrutiny in regard to how much he and his family were screwing out of the club to the point it was left on its knees.
The regimes that followed prior to King were designed to further weaken and ultimately destroy the club from within off the back of Murray’s careless and wilful mismanagement. Hence no defence of the club was offered with catastrophic results.
It seems to me that King is playing the game in a very specific and calculated manner in trying to make the mountain come to Mohamed so to speak. He knows that they know that he has a lot of dirt on them given their unholy alliance with the filth who despite their pious yelps of sporting integrity, were neck deep in corruption and blatantly benefitting from state aid.
My suspicion is that despite our frustration at him not going directly for the jugular, he has tried to sanitise things privately and behind the scenes. It would seem that we are seeing acts of defiance almost bloodyminded in nature which tell me that we are getting close to King pressing his version of the nuclear button. (What that might be I know not)
I think there was a general feeling amongst the board that they could achieve their aims of levelling the playing field by background manipulation and a degree of subversive persuasion. But clearly given the measure of control garnered by the filth across almost every facet of the game, media, government et al they have become entrenched in their position of ill gained control.
Do we honestly believe that a guy like King whom has put millions of pounds of his own money into the club is less informed than we are of what has been and continues to be wrought on our club by the filths meticulously planned hegemony?
I cannot believe that our outgoing chairman and his star chamber do not have a plan B. I think Robertson is merely the friendly, carbon neutral face at the forefront of the business designed to lapse our enemies into a false sense of security. Kings house of cards statement, determination to see Ashley off the premises, war with SA tax authorities portray a character who is unlikely to roll over and have his tummy tickled by the filth and their acolytes.
I suspect we are closing in on the end game which is being precipitated by the kind of bloodyminded brinksmanship we are seeing from the SFA an organisation infested with those who’s only purpose is to serve the filth. The filibustering, subversion and downright deflection by the football establishment/Establishment in terms of the the horrific Parkhead pedophile ring illustrates just how much of a grip they have on the levers of control.
For me this factor is why we have not seen an out and out, gloves off, dogfight between the club and lets just term them as ‘the tangible vestiges of the filths interests’. But that doesn’t mean that King isn’t prepared to scorch the earth to get what he wants. After all he has tried to be benevolent and constructive, sadly to no avail, which begs the question, what next?
