Club statement on SFA charges

I would be surprised if we hadnt already intimated to the SFA, in advance of the 'hearing', a sample of the evidence that will make up our defence of the outrageous charges levelled against our club.
This isn't good enough any longer. The club needs to be more public with it's dealing with the SFA and press. Fed up with all the "back channel" stuff we are supposedly carrying out.
The support is angry at the moment and the club needs to show they are willing to fight.

It’s obvious the club is keeping its powder dry to see if any disciplinary proceedings are lodged against the thumb for throwing his hair band at the Killie support the other night.
If nothing comes from that then I hope the club goes to town on the lack of consistency from the authorities.

my impression is that we are weak in this area and will effectively do as we are told - dissapointing all round

The club is probably hoping that the SFA will now hold a "summit" as other clubs including Celtc are moaning about the erratic Compliance Officer . That way they won't need to be confrontational with the SFA. Good excuse for a cop out.

why say another statement was coming after the weekend then nothing, open to criticism then.

Nail on the head mate .nothing more than a cop out as you said.if that is their plan and I hope to God that it isn,t .then it will really show us up as spineless.

I hope we want to get our game on Sunday out of the way, that is the most important thing and knowing our referees, it will probably throw up more controversy, especially when we win. Post game a brief statement confirming that our legal representatives have provided overwhelming evidence of disciplinary inconsistency to the SFA and look forward to dismissal of all charges or a lengthy legal procedure.

No need to pubicly highlight inconsistent incidents for the likes of sky, bbc, bt, Sutton and Hartson to flail over. They are not the regulatory body.

Club need to be stronger, quicker at releasing statements and aware how the support feels on these issues

The SFA don't have a pot to p1ss in, we should be legally challenging them at every turn.

Still waiting on this further statement we were told would be announced this week.

We should but it looks like we won,t.which to be honest is very disapointing to say the least.

840 posts, largely from people demanding, imagining, interpreting, pretending, wanking over, a statement.

Or that just want Rangers to publicly address the cheating & corruption that is denying the Rangers support with the opportunity to enjoy watching their club participate in football matches that are offering coated, reportedon and relitigated in an equitable fashion.

When the club says this:

Rangers will make further comment after the weekend.

and fails to deliver then it becomes a major talking point.

Why shouldn't it?

Because all the statements from all the clubs are just empty, meaningless posturing. The fact that people get excited, pleased, annoyed, whatever, by statements or the lack thereof staggers me.

We want the club to fight back and a clear signal to that effect.

An official statement defines your position in the public eye.

Why on earth would it be 'empty, meaningless posturing'?

Because nobody who matters cares about some pompous statement. A fact that the people who run the club are well aware of. It's just playing to the gallery of idiot fans and tabloid journalists.

Which major organisation doesn't release public statements?

It's very much part of modern life and has been for quite some time.

Government departments, large companies, banks and so on have PR people who specialise in this field.
