Would rather we developed our own players (I know, I know) rather than some multimillionaire pre-madonna wannabe with the heart of a mouse.Wonder when we will learn about these loans from the EPL, very rarely work out.
The guy is totally rotten.
After he scored against Hibs there was an interview that he hinted maybe there could be a longer term future here. Was an extension ever anticipated?
He must be on a hefty salary and it likely isn't viable for us to be contributing significantly to it.
Good luck to him but not the standard requiredI’d suggest to Wolves that they sell him for what they can get but not to us. Good luck to the boy he was good enough to give it a go with us.
To be fair, it was unlikely he’d be here next season anyway, but it is slightly odd timing.Shouldn’t play again in that case. We need players who are going to be committed
No surprise but thank f**k Don’t think I’ve disliked a player as much since Michael O’Halloran
Good, money wasted on another pointless loan
Agree with the decision but wouldn't have announced it when we need him to burst his arse till the end of the season trying to impress.
Really really disappointing contribution.
Never a left sided attacker in his life.
Good.
Not exactly a great surprise.
You mean like Scott Wright done against Aberdeen beales last game.No Scott Wright shouldn't even.be on the bench never Mind playing,he's been with us 4 seasons ffsI would rather play Scott Wright in the remaining games than Silva.
Silva seems the type that will down tools.
Fpsml at this. The thing is, you can see why Clement would've wanted him.
He's a big, physical, powerful player who runs himself into the ground and gives defenders a c@nt of a time. There's attributes there that make absolute sense and suggest the kind of player the manager thinks we need - and I agree with him.
The trouble is that for all Silva has those attributes, he's also a bit of a headless chicken with a generally poor end product. He's also (to resurrect a well-worn FF phrase) a giant, clanging poof who spends half his time rolling about feining injury, rather than being the bully I suspect PC expected him to be.
Wolves probably had a deal with the agent. He is never a £35m player.
Could end up back in PortugalThe performance he put in against Benfica away was very impressive and if he could consistently perform at that level, I’d be all for him staying (although he’d probably then have “better” options). But he can’t. We can’t carry players who turn in a performance once in a blue moon.
Anyone that ever watched him play wasn’t expecting him to be bullying anyone. The thing is, you can see why Clement would've wanted him.

Seems to be a clever player but he's just not up to our standardsMaybe thats why his form has dipped
Growing up in a Portuguese footballing culture where winning fouls and getting your opponent booked is seen as conducive to winning, to the frankly weird system we have here where gamesmanship is completely frowned upon is a culture shock.Anyone that ever watched him play wasn’t expecting him to be bullying anyone.
The biggest worry for me with the Silva signing is how much Clement wanted him.
I'm sure there were a few stories about the lengths Clement went to to get him signed.
A bit of a worry for future signings for me.
Same can't really see him being a key player for anybody notebale. Bit of a luxury player it seems.I honestly see him dropping down the leagues in the next few years, don’t see what see what he brings to the table
