The questions at these press conferences are pathetic, nobody asks the hard hitting questions that us fans want answers to.
Other than the one question about horizontal passes.
This is reading like paphosranger telling everyone to be quiet and stop getting worked up about a subject and then posting more than anyone on the thread.
He needs to play an actual left-back at left-back, even if it's Barisic, to let Sterling move back into midfield beside Diomande. I'd also drop Lundstram but I'm less hopeful on that one.
And Sima on the left please - Silva either through the middle or not at all.
Agree. Diomande and Sterling start in midfield. I'd drop Lundstram. He hasn't won a second ball for months.100% we haven’t any control of the middle of the park. We are going long which is fine, but when we don’t win that second ball then we have Lundstram alone getting dragged all over the place. Sterling in there adds more legs, defensive ability and power. I wouldn’t even be against a 3 of Sterling Lunny and Diomande.
The wee man is pivotal to our balance … he’s been a big missGood news that Diomande is available fingers crossed for Ridvan.
There's not even any morning glory these daysLess stories, more glories.
Not a clue why to be honest. He was only saying it as everyone sees it.Sounds like he wasn't too happy with Sterling and I'm sure he'll be pulled in for a chat on that.
No but he should. Sterling and Diomande in the middle of Ridvan makes it.So you think he’s going to replace Lundstram? Really?
Don’t see that happening tbh.Agree. Diomande and Sterling start in midfield. I'd drop Lundstram. He hasn't won a second ball for months.
Give it a rest and get behind the team. There's a cup and a league to be won.Nothing will change until we remove the chuckle brothers and Lundstrum as the leaders in our squad round and round we go until they get removed from the carousel
Well it was shit, but certainly wasn't worse than the Ross County gameDoes he really think the other night was better than Sunday
The only slight improvement, statistically speaking, was in defence. That's probably due to Sterling. We were still absolutely woeful though. Our attacking output was actually worse than the Ross County game.Does he really think the other night was better than Sunday
Wednesday was miles worse despite getting a point more than Sunday. The only slight improvement, statistically speaking, was in defence. That's probably due to Sterling. We were still absolutely woeful though. Our attacking output was actually worse than the Ross County game.
That’s the spirit. It’s just words without performances, and the Scottish cup means nothing when you’ve blown the title.
If he is not fit we need to play Borna or the reserve left back. Agree on the balance. It’s killing us all over the pitch. Vital we sort this area for next season. The wee man is pivotal to our balance … he’s been a big miss
He does more than that, he drives through a low block and scores goals on top of the basicsDiomande gives me some hope, at least he does the midfield basics.
Spot on. You can’t have a right footed player at left backHe needs to play an actual left-back at left-back, even if it's Barisic, to let Sterling move back into midfield beside Diomande. I'd also drop Lundstram but I'm less hopeful on that one.
And Sima on the left please - Silva either through the middle or not at all.
Even worse if it removes a bit of athleticism from our usual stati midfieldSpot on. You can’t have a right footed player at left back
No it isn't. Don't be ridiculousIt’s giving Caxinha vibes.
The league trophy is the only one that really matters. Win that and you can think of the Scottish Cup as icing on the cake and the League Cup as a very small cherry on top. Neither are significant in a practical sense to us. They are poor consolation prizes if we don't win the league and we should not treat them as anything other than that. They don't bring significant money in and they should never be something we rely on.The Scottish cup means nothing is a nonsense attitude. It's silverware. Mental take
"The dogs bark. And the caravan moves. The caravan goes on. So that is what we are doing.”It’s giving Caxinha vibes.
Didn't sound like itWas he asked about Leon Balogun ?
Massive issues in finding a replacement to fill his boots since his injury, probably not the best idea to get rid, maybe focus on getting him fit and playing. We need to pap Ridvan. Good player but another who is made of toilet paper.
Davies is supposed to have filled in at LB has he not?He needs to play an actual left-back at left-back, even if it's Barisic, to let Sterling move back into midfield beside Diomande. I'd also drop Lundstram but I'm less hopeful on that one.
And Sima on the left please - Silva either through the middle or not at all.
Really?Good words from Phil, I can see us dishing out a drubbing in this one.
They're not politicians, they're football managers who will answer what they want in a environment that's structured to ensure this. Press conferences are a contractual requirement, likely set out by the league, that managers don't want to do but have too.
All clubs have media teams that ensure its as standard and routine as possible.
Indeed. It’s just words without performances, and the Scottish cup means nothing when you’ve blown the title.
For a decent amount I agree. We need to pap Ridvan. Good player but another who is made of toilet paper.
If Diomande is back he’ll partner Lundstram. He can't do the exact same thing, apart from replacing Lawrence/Dowell with Diomande.
As others have said, get Sterling in midfield or further forward, as he unsurprisingly brings nothing from the left back area, in comparison.
Ridvan was days away before the tims game so dont hold your breathGood news on Diomande and at least Ridvan should be available next week if not Sunday.
Can’t see any way Goldson or Lundstram are dropped so will be an interesting moment when that team drops.
March.Fed up hearing it. The side has been in regression since February and Clement has done nothing to address performances for 2 months now.
While i understand your point loads of people on here are complaining of 'loser mentality'The league trophy is the only one that really matters. Losers mentality my arse. Its recognition.of what constitutes the big prize in Scottish football and prioritising it accordingly. Its the exact opposite of losers mentality. While i understand your point loads of people on here are complaining of 'loser mentality'
save from goldson headerWednesday was miles worse despite getting a point more than Sunday.
At Dingwall we created many chances and should have had the game wrapped up at half time. At Dens i can only think of Sima's chance first half and Dessers second half?
Massive issues in finding a replacement to fill his boots since his injury, probably not the best idea to get rid, maybe focus on getting him fit and playing.
I'm well aware of what the big prize is. But the Scottish cup is still a prize. Which is my initial point. If you don't care about it fine. If your happy with that mob across the road getting it fine. I'm not OK with that which is my initial point to the person saying the Scottish cup only matters if you win the league.Losers mentality my arse. Its recognition.of what constitutes the big prize in Scottish football and prioritising it accordingly. Its the exact opposite of losers mentality.
Absolutely agree ...nothing wrong with saying that was not good enough etc ....different if your singling players out.No one is asking for the squad to be thrown under a bus. Don't feed the fans bullshit is all we're asking.
Curious to know how many "journalists" turn up for these press conferences?
I agree but Managers don’t like this type of thing. Not a clue why to be honest. He was only saying it as everyone sees it.
