Got to love Stevie G.
He's walked the walk & is showing a great ability to talk the talk.
He's got them on toast.

Wasn't that the case with Lennon too? He rolled about the ground pretending to be hit in "the jaw" at Tynecastle with a coin. His players saw through the scam and immediately lost respect for the nutter. Clarke is taking over the TLB role now and his players are not daft, they are professional footballers who want to play football (albeit kicking the shit out of Rangers) but their manager has scored an own goal by grabbing the reins of the Lennon victim mantle.Hardly reliable I know but I seen someone on Twitter earlier saying a few Kilmarnock players are pissed off with his hypocrisy. Unsurprisingly unimpressed with the lack of support for their captain.
I imagine he'll be keeping that one up his sleeve until the time is right. Very calculated comments from Gerrard there, he certainly knows what he's doing.
Boydy highlighted that mob in a bad light mate, so his agenda driven clownshoe of a manager had to readdress the balance. Its fair to say boyd wasn’t pleased with clarke last night
We’ll see how unhappy he was tomorrow. Not sure if thats true or not but a know boyd wasn’t happy with the lack of support he received from his manager

A can’t see him slating clarke infront of the mediaWe’ll see how unhappy he was tomorrow.
He won’t slate clarke infront of the mediaI'm sure we'll hear about that at their joint press conference then?
Boyd's got a massive open goal to aim at here
I love this from Gerrard
“I’ve had it since I was 18. I just echo what Boydy said at the weekend, as long as it’s not physical I’m okay with it"
Puts the pressure on to either call it all out evenly or get on with it until people are willing to be balanced in their "offence" and outrage.
He won’t slate clarke infront of the media
do u think he wouldve even mentioned the song if they beat us? typical crash barrier deflect from thier performance crying about somthing that if he's really honest with himself doesn't bother him in the slightest! why not mention it to sg after the game if he was so upset? the answer? he wasn't he was gutted his punching above thier weight pub team got gubbedHe knows exactly what he is doing with that wee remark.
With regards to not caring about abuse as long as it is not physical, that is cause you're a man Stevie. Clarke is the moaniest greeting faced wee lassie around.
he's leading by example. it's up to us bears to follow follow that and not let the club down with our behaviour or give our enemies the chance to denigrate our club's good nameGot to love Stevie G.

He doesn't get scottish football, he wasn't brought up here he doesn't understand the problems, something like that I thinkAll a bit pointless if he doesn't address it publicly.
Gerrard has the Scottish media by the baws; interesting to see how they try & spin this.

I really wonder if he would have done the same if someone like O'Donnell was getting it from our fans.I'm not surprised. Boyd had to take to social media to call out the actions of their fans because his own manager refused to even comment on it. A disgraceful way to treat any player, let alone the captain who has given over 10 years' service to the club.
Skeletor was outside Ibrox again, I knew that little arsehole wouldn’t miss an opportunity to spread his hatred of everything Rangers. As someone else said, Clarke is playing the Lennon card. If this happened a few months ago when results were going his way he would have laughed it off. Unbelievable that so many people have jumped on the bandwagon again.
I think we have played this well. A lot of folk were calling for this to be brought up in our statement but Gerrard was the right person to mention it.
The Club have rightly taken responsibility for the singing and Gerrard is also right to point out the hypocrisy. Well played Rangers.
If this is true let’s see him write an article on the subject - it’s an open goal to even up the playing fieldIts fair to say boyd wasn’t pleased with clarke last night
Clarke's mask slipped, not only did he expose himself as a bitter poet but also a pathetic excuse for a man manager when you can not even defend your own player but then spit the dummy when something is said towards you.
Not to the media
at least gerrard is questioning why clarke stayed silent on sunday. wonder what the bbc narrative will be to this.
Will they show the abuse our Gaffer sufferred with subtitles he suffered in August to clarify its not just Rangers fans?
Disagree. At that point he was unaware of Clarke’s press conference. Clarke’s conference makes it double standards, which Gerrard simply falls out.The striking thing is he's sat and had a beer with Clarke and take it he's not brought it up,then chooses to go public, double standards, I think so.
I hope we as a support can support our manager in this.
Each of us as an individual has to help Steven Gerrard here.
Every single supporter can help.
Quite simply don't sing these songs.
We can do it.
Ask yourself, if you continue to sing this type of song, could you then stand in front of Stevie Gerrard as an individual and admit to him that you continued to sing them after he asked you not to?
Because if you wouldn't be prepared to do that but still sing these songs then you are a poor example of a human being.
We are all of us better than that.
