It was announced a few years ago, the latest announcement has sadly been brought about by social media speculation.

I watched Villa a lot when he was in the side, he was a fantastic player and the idol of the Villa fans. I remember when he broke his leg at Villa Park, the crowd went totally silent as you could hear the crack all round the stadium, it was a sickening noise,

So sad to hear of this news. He was a cracking wee player and was an important part of a really good Aston Villa midfield in the 80s.
