Klaxon Jackson trying to mislead his readers on the need for work on the Ibrox pitch

just like the guy who scoured Facebook for the piggery, this is the standard of journalism nowadays. Thankful for the Rangers based media from H&H and 4Lads.

Fingers crossed the paper doesn’t make it out of this.

Fairly sure I read a headline yesterday that stated that clubs would need 6 weeks 'pre-season' training to get ready for the remainder of the season. (May have related to the EPL, but even so, it would require a similar period before the players in Scotland would be available.) If correct and Ibrox is only playable in 4 weeks time, what's the issue?
Also, I saw on Twitter that Heart and Hand had broken the news and a couple of hours later, Keef claims the exclusive! These 'journalists' are shameless.

Another embarrassing low moment for the daily rhebel and there chief wankstain Jackson the guy is nothing more than a low life turncoat scumbag pandering and making up nonsense to pass off as sensationalist exclusives.

Rangers need to take action against this lot get them banned and set a precedent for the supporters tell them not to like, give them hits, or buy there content.

The turnaround in narrative is incredible from Jackson.
Here is a guy who grew up supporting us and for a number of years used to write sympathetic articles on our behalf. But since his falling out with King and being cut off from being fed stories he has done a 180 and now can’t help himself but get digs in at every opportunity.
Thankfully hardly anyone buys the Record these days, especially now during lockdown.

What a fckn slug !
Can you imagine if it was the tramps pitch ?
The headline would read ...
"Super celts take the initiative and rush to get pitch ready for re-start of the season".
What an absolute guttersnipe excuse for a journo

The guys a rocket we will need to start banning the haters that right shite about our club we all know who they are

WATP

He really should be sacked for this substandard work. However the Daily Rhebel have no standards. As a result, this Beano and Dandy level of article is classed as a top story, worthy of putting out to the 40 readers.

The worrying part is the ref to a meeting this morning .....

The comments on twitter are absolutely stinking the rabids really do ruin everything they go near. They're shameless attitude over lives is horrifying. Genuinely dislike them more every week.

Not a dig at you @mdingwall but the more we post or mention of these guys on the forum, the more we acknowledge that their opinions are worth something.

Stop giving them the oxygen.

Don't read it, don't click it, don't repost it, don't even wipe your Andrei Arshavin with it.

The comments on twitter are absolutely stinking the rabids really do ruin everything they go near. It's as if they live in a completely different world where winning a trophy is more important than pandemics and systematic child abuse. Most of their fans are utterly despicable, pond life scum.

Have we anyone within the club with the guile to come up with this plan? I'm not knocking the club, just doesn't read as something we would do.

Too many still buying and clicking this shitey rhag.
Sooner the club officially ban it and advise fans to spend their money elsewhere the better.

he is the weapons weapon.
The journo the timmys love to hate yet he attempts to pander to them with every piece he throws out.

you know what Keith? %^*& off

My point is it’s a Keef Plan in his own tiny mind. Not sure why you’ve managed to bring our Board into it by calling them guileless?
He’s a dick, no guile required to recognise that
Of course he is, my post wasn't knocking the board, as I said, its not our way of doing things.

at the end of the day, any games within 4 weeks would be played behind closed doors, so there is no reason not to play them at the training ground

There's a bit of desperation about Celtic and their precious nine now.

I can understand their fear that the SPFL are having to play a long game now given UEFA and FIFA statements. The long game will still mean that monies will somehow have to be paid out to clubs as the weeks roll by meaning Celtic will lose the leverage (blackmail) that declaring them Champions is a pre-requisite for releasing monies. What are they then left with? - "Declare us Champions because we want to be Champions". Once monies are distributed there will be no obstacle to 'Null & Void' further down the line if we can't resume.

Rangers rip up Ibrox pitch and end hope of quick fire restart to title finish
The Ibrox club confirmed they have started out essential work on the Ibrox playing surface and it's understood Stewart Robertson made their position clear to the SPFL board on Tuesday.

Rangers have given up any hope of a quick fire re-start to this season’s title fight - after tractors rolled into Ibrox to dig up the battered pitch.

Record Sport can exclusively reveal turf care specialists spent the day inside the club’s stadium to begin a major repair job on the playing surface, with two months of the scheduled season still to run.

The work started on the same day as the SPFL board reached a deadlock in crisis discussions over what contingency plans ought to be put in place for the current campaign should the Covid-19 pandemic continue to wreak havoc over the summer.

Those talks will resume again on Wednesday morning along with the repair work at Ibrox.

Normally, summer pitch renovation would include the laying of a brand new surface and could take up to ten weeks to complete.

That would mean the renovation could leave Steven Gerrard’s men unable to stage any home matches until the start of June at the earliest.

But club sources insisted that the job could be rushed through in half that time if the top flight is somehow ready for a resumption before then, in spite of the ongoing coronavirus lock-down..

An Ibrox spokesman confirmed to Record Sport: “Rangers are carrying out essential works which will be completed within four weeks.

“There is no reasonable expectation that we will be playing football at Ibrox in the next four weeks. Clubs in England have been carrying out similar work in recent weeks.”

Rangers, though, are thought to be ready to fight any plan which would bring the season to an early end.

It’s understood general manager Stewart Robertson made the club’s position clear during Tuesday's SPFL board meeting which had to be adjourned twice and will now reconvene at 8.30 am this morning.

A 100-page document was circulated to board members detailing the league’s proposals to deal with the financial impact of the global health pandemic on the Scottish game - and whether or not to pull the plug on the 2019/20 season.

Rangers have stated categorically that the current campaign must be played to a finish to maintain sporting integrity, rejecting any proposal to declare leaders Celtic as champions. They remain adamant that the title must be won on the pitch rather than handed over prematurely on Hampen’s sixth floor.

But that won’t happen any time soon now that a firm of contractors have set to work on their playing surface.

Heavy machinery from Allgrass Scotland - whose own website shows pictures of a previous pitch renovation at the club’s Auchenhowie training base - had gone through the gates of Ibrox to begin the job of installing new turf.

Now all eyes will be back on Hampden’s sixth floor for further crisis talks planned to take place by conference call throughout the day.

It will begin with a breakfast time resumption of the board meeting before the SPFL hold separate discussions with all 42 clubs across its four divisions.

The world game’s governing body FIFA also announced emrgency plans to extend the current season, including automatic contract extensions for players across the globe as well as a fluid approach to the end of season transfer window.

These measures appear to designed to assist Europe’s biggest earning leagues as well as UEFA all of whom would be hit with legal claims worth billions of pounds should their respective crown jewel competitions fail to be properly concluded.

But there is a growing belief that smaller nations with less lucrative league set-ups may be given the leeway to take their own urgent action in an attempt to prevent financial carnage throughout the football world.

One source told us: “Clubs in countries such as Belgium, Holland and Scotland simply cannot afford to wait for the big boys and told to toe the line. Not when some of them face going out of business over the coming weeks and months.

“Like many others, the Dutch are now looking at making these crucial decisions at the end of this month.

“Every league in Europe would like the season to be decided on the pitch and that remains the case here in Scotland.

“But the longer this crisis continues and the more it harms the health of people all over the world the less realistic that seems.”
Let’s forget about coronavirus, the bigs disruption to the lives of the British people since World War 2.

The reason the SPL can’t restart is because we ripped up our pitch.

Arseholes!

Was this not the guy who a few months ago was complaining St Johnstone had a couple of million set aside. He thought they should spend it all on transfers and wages.
What an great idea.

If him he's at least consistent.
