100% agree he looks to be another ejaria, shirts too heavy. Scored a few goals which papered over the cracks at the start of the season but he was a shitebag today, an absolute waste of space

We should have been looking to get at their defence today yet had nothing up front. 5 central midfielders playing behind Defoe.
His close control was honking and a wee lassie could have pushed him off the ball.
Jones - yes.
Ojo - not so sure.

Thank f.cuk someone else says it. Goes unnoticed how often he is caught offside. He was cancelled out of the game today. You comepare their midfielders to ours. Not once is Eduoard isolated there are constantly providing him service and going beyond him.
I’ve got as much chance playing for Liverpool as Ojo.
Don’t know why they just don’t sell him and be done with it.

I think Ojo has the quality in terms of ability to score & create. He has roughly what Kent got all of last season.
But the strength of character & determination is needing dramatic improvement imo.
Still accept your overall point.

We were told we were adding to improve the squad then we would add genuine quality.
So far this window we added a Liverpool reserve player, 2 players who started at Kilmarnock last season, a guy who had half a season at Motherwell and someone who couldn't get a start for Hibs a couple of years ago.

The managers soft spot for Flanagan is a huge problem for us when it comes to going forward / especially in formation played today
No left foot so has to turn in, tims knew he wasn’t going to go forward down the byline , so much easier to defend against
Ultimately however, money talks , and Edouard was the real difference today (& he is the most expensive player on the pitch )we almost got away with our formation / player selection but for him, nobody else for the tims looked like doing anything and needed error by goldson to get them the goal (the second was just us chasing the game)
very disappointing game from our side , European comedown and feeling of what if by not going with Morelos / Jones from start and going for them from the off,
sadly real questions marks about the formation / players when we play higher standard of team, as Tav getting hung out to dry down his side imho
Left back position should’ve been addressed , can’t get away with a natural right back over there with no left foot playing as cover against the more organised / profession / cynical team like the tims

To be fair to Flanagan he did his job today. Was solid defensively and kept Quasimodo out of the game. If you’re going to play a defensive full back you need someone out wide who can attack. Line up just didn’t make sense.

I think Gerrard was banking on getting Kent at some stage. The whole saga has been up to this stage farcical from both sides imo.
Ojo does look a great talent but he's up here to get experience and consistently and he will blow hot and cold that's the risk you take by giving loan players massive roles in prominent positions.
Other than Morelos and Defoe and outwith Ojo the rest of our forward line is highly questionable and lacking quality.
