London pub for today

I don’t suppose anyone knows if the Bierkeller is showing the game tomorrow? Tickets needed?

Also I heard mention of a pub in Covent Garden showing the games fairly recently. Freemasons Arms? Is that the case? Cheers.
Freemasons Arms is a cracking wee pub. I watched the Dortmund and Dundee games there in February and it was a great atmosphere full of Bears.

It's just a minutes walk from Covent Garden underground.

The London Branch has moved from the Freemasons Arms to the Bermondsey Bierkeller just next to London Bridge. It’s a lot bigger and much more suited to our needs.

Planned to watch it at home but as the days gone on and reading the thread decided I’m going to try the Bierkeller. Just caught the train, hour and a half, thirst is building already

Similar story here and similar length of journey! I used to be a regular in the Cock Tavern back in the day. Always thought we had a better atmosphere than at the game!

Wife was still at work, didn’t want to disturb her when she’s on company time, work ethic and all that, so sent her a text telling her I was off…an and could she get me from the station when the train gets in the back of midnight

Glad to hear the London Branch settling into the new venue. Green Man’s fine but we need more than one place. The Cock Tav was worse than the Jubilee Line at rush hour and it was far bigger than the Green Man (though, with 15 of us in there for an early Sunday KO against Cali Thistle or Livi, it was bleak as feck!).
Were both venues rammed last night?

It’s early days but it’s proving to be great venue and we’re establishing a really good relationship with the owner and manager. There was well over 100 Bears in last night and it was good to see so many families and young Bears watching the game. Your point about having more places to watch the Rangers in London is spot on. The demand is there and all the RSCs and other supporters in London and the South East are working hard to meet it.

If any bears looking for Rangers pubs in London & The South East of England have a facebook profile, follow the below link and request to join

The group posts a lists of pubs showing our games which are bear friendly for all those televised including RTV, and of course if the channel changes from one game to another, or there's an unusual circumstance at a pub, so does the list, so a good way of staying in the loop. There are 4 London pubs listed and 2 that could be argued London listed (but I would say they are on the border of London and Kent/Surrey) for all Sky and BT games, and then 4 of them have RTV & Premier Sports.

A good example of the work that’s being done to help Bears down here watch games. The info on this site is invaluable.

That’s brilliant. We started drinking those beer towers at the table. I paid for it today.
Aye me too, seemed like a good idea at the time, bought one when I arrived thinking me and son would share it when he arrived, 3 litres of lager, that’ll save having to go up to the bar during the game, so my thinking went... He arrived about 8:15 by when I’d tanned it.
Not much work got done today.

It’s all your fault then. I didn’t know they existed until I saw one at your table.

Is that FB link correct mate? It's telling me it's broken or removed.

Were under 18s allowed in mate?

Can't remember the name of it but there's a pub about 2 doors along from the Casino near the Pavillion that I've watched games in before.
Pretty sure they meet in up in the Conservative club in Holdenhurst road I think ?? If he sticks up a separate thread for Bournemouth & Poole I'm sure one of the members will answer.

What's the score here mate, seen it mentioned once before. What channels do they have? Do they show all games? Say a Celtic game is on, Rangers fans only or will scum fans turn up?
They have sky, not sure about BT, they spoke about getting Premier sports but don't think they have it, not sure if scum go in it, not visible anyway

A reminder that the second leg of the Europa League semi final will be shown at the Bermondsey Bierkeller this Thursday. It promises to be an amazing night so get in early as we roar the Bears to another Europa final.
