Man Utd vs Liverpool on a Monday night

No idea but heard this morning that Man U's first 7 league games are live on tv, 9 of their first 10 and 12 of their first 14.

Still the biggest draw obviously.

It’s the biggest and most watched English English fixture, between their 2 biggest clubs. Mental decision by sky.
Not really. One of the highest TV audiences ever for Sky Sports was for a Manchester derby on Monday Night Football. It will do great numbers in the UK tomorrow night.

what do Man Utd fans think the Glazers are going to do when they see their pish stained bedspreads saying "Glazers out"?

there is no chance they are going to leave just because a bunch of fans want them out or Neville gets on the TV for his big camera slot. They are paying €70m on a 30 year old who probably could do a job in a position they need help in, maybe look at the current squad for the players who aren't doing their job properly?

Rashford, Maguire, Bruno Fernandes, there is probably many others

Still one of the biggest fixtures in the EPL season and its on Monday night vs Sunday afternoon?

Rules out massive US TV audience.

What’s the thinking here?
Quite possible Sky picked it for today as it's 1st pick - 16.30 timeslot but swapped it with one of the games that was played today as that would the Monday night game but with the League Cup 2nd round this mid week has been taken into account - neither Man Utd or Liverpool are in the League until 3rd around

Could other factors as well

If Liverpool drop points this will be Klopps ready made excuse.

Why would sky care about the US or Asian markets? They will have a huge viewership watching on a Monday night in the UK.

Friday night SPFL games were brilliant when they were a thing for a short spell a few years back. I don't know why they stopped doing it unless arrest numbers went up.

Loved the Friday night games, changed when we went exclusively with Sky though.

Sky would rather the championship game on a Friday night and us on a Saturday or Sunday lunch time.

Unbelievable that the Glazers have leeched about £1bn from Man Utd despite spending vast sums on rubbish players.

Just realised this is on tomorrow night due to this thread, nights viewing sorted.

Bit like saying we shouldn't have protested against the Spivs

All the hype around it and it has all the makings of a dull 0-0 with 2 bang out of form teams terrified to lose.

Hopefully I'm wrong.
