"Glen Kamara, he fires the baw like an arra"
Wit?It's way too early to be on the strong stuff mate.
Best have a wee lie down and come back later.
The signing of Kamara was an exceptional bit of business, a player of his quality would usually cost millions,:we got him for 50 grandIn the SPL a player is only good business once you actually get them sold for a lot more than you paid for. You can't say Kamara has been good business until we actually sell him.
What the %^*&?! So was Brian Laudrup not good business? Was Ally McCoist? Andy Gorum? Richard Gough? Give yourself a shake mate, you've had a mare.In the SPL a player is only good business once you actually get them sold for a lot more than you paid for. You can't say Kamara has been good business until we actually sell him.
John Brown.Possibly Rod Wallace and Stuart Munro would be up there in the past 30 odd years.
Add in Mccoist for 325k ? .
Absolutely over the moon just now!Isnt it great to see nothing but positive news in the media these days?
Boumsong for £8m wasn’t a bad profit.Who was the last player we actually sold for a significant profit?
Looking back through the transfers we sold Jelavić for £5m and bought him for £4m so a £1m profit, but he was on about £20k per week so would have cost around £2m in wages in the time he was here so that one might work out as a loss from totally buisness point of view.
We would have made money selling Lewis Ferguson for £850k in 2015, he would have been on low wages.

Yes no need for any other reply.Yes you can.
He’s been pivotal to our success in Europe and a potential league title come May. That in itself generates a shit load of cash which has been great from a “business and commercial” point of view.
That’s like saying Davie Weir wasn’t good business because we didn’t sell him for a fee
100%. If we see a young player really develop and sell him, let's say, back to England, we could make a fortune. We don't need to get every single one of them right, but one or two would make a huge difference to the balance sheet. We could really get miles in front if we play our cards right
Bringing in young players on a bargain is definitely a solid strategy while they flail around and pick up the next Duffy or Barkas, throwing multi-millions down the drain in the process
Also we have the benefit of having just seen a class guide from them on the easiest way to %^*& up from a position of strength, so hopefully we at least dont do that
Due respect mate but that is nonsence. In the SPL a player is only good business once you actually get them sold for a lot more than you paid for. You can't say Kamara has been good business until we actually sell him.
Ryan Jack.Due respect mate but that is nonsence.
We get a great game out of him for 80-90% of his appearances. And his quality is head and shoulders above most other premiership midfielders.
I say that`s outstanding value.

Our recruitment has so far proven to be exceptional and I hope that continuesRecruitment is key. That mob have wasted all the profit from Tierney on nonsense such as Duffy, Ajeti, Barkas and Kilmala. It’s crucial we don’t make the same mistake.
That would make a decent banner.‘No-one’s laughing now’
What`s he got to do with it?Ryan Jack.

Kamara has been a great signing from a footballing perspective, but you can't really say it has been great business until we actually sell him for a high price.
There is so little money in the SPL shirt sales and TV money probably hardly covers players wages.
Boumsong is a great piece of business that springs to mind, signed for free and sold months later for £8m.
Tav for 200k. We've really done well on the transfer front.Possibly Rod Wallace and Stuart Munro would be up there in the past 30 odd years.

Hawd the boat. So Larsson bought for 350k or whatever it was, arguably their best player of all time but he left on a bosman to Barca. They recouped £0.00 for him. So by your logic, he wasn't good business? In the SPL a player is only good business once you actually get them sold for a lot more than you paid for. You can't say Kamara has been good business until we actually sell him.
Josh Windass, bought for £100k, sold for £2.5 million. Declan John, signed for nowt, sold to Swansea for £1 million Waghorn bought for £250k and sold for £1 million quid to Ipswich, Polster signed as a free agent and sold for £350k to the MLS. Not big fees but absolutely significant profit, which seems to be your barometer for a successful transfer in Scottish footballWho was the last player we actually sold for a significant profit?

We would have made money selling Lewis Macleod for £850k in 2015, he would have been on low wages.
Good shout.John Brown.
Mccoist gets it for me.Tav for 200k. We've really done well on the transfer front.
