He has a ban carried over from last season in the Scottish Cup (booked in each of the two cup games against the Sheep).

He misses a game because of the two yellows leading to a red on Sunday. His second booking on Sunday also takes him to the 6 bookings in the first 19 league games threshold, so he will get an additional game ban for that.

So, he misses - as things stand - 1 cup game (Stranraer) plus the first two league games after the break.

We really need to use Stewart on these games, whilst Defoe is a good predator striker, he is not a player to lead the line. Stewart can do this role no problem.

My issue with bringing another striker in is that they need to settle and could be a hit or miss, Stewart knows the league and the grounds concerned.
