Most intense rangers moment as a bear?

The penalties in Florence were unbearable. I can't watch our penalties in regular games like Tav v Motherwell on Sunday so you can imagine the state I was in, I honestly thought I was in danger of blacking out, heart felt like it was going to break my ribs. I was in such a mess I didn't even realise Nacho's kick was the winner until I realised everyone else was still jumping and screaming a few seconds later

Don’t think you would be alone there.

I said “holy %^*&!!!! this to win it!!!!” And my mate looked at me and was like really?? Then even when novo scores and I’m bouncing around my living room like a nutter he is like “is it definitely over? Seriously?”

Before the penny dropping and him going nuts.

Novo's penalty in Florence by a mile.

Arteta's penalty against Dunfermline was also tense. A full season resting on one spot kick.

The lead up to the Dunfermline match in 2003 was quite something - nervous all week before it.

The build up to the Leeds Utd and Aberdeen in 1991 matches were also incredibly nervy/exciting.

On negatives and along the lines of above - the way the Cetic support sang & booed their way through the 20th Anniversary of the Ibrox Disaster will never leave me. They ignored their goalkeeper and their captain pleading with them to stop - absolute bastards.

1. Helicopter Sunday. It was like a dream coming true.
2. 1966 Scottish Cup Final replay. Those of us who were there will never forget it.
3. Barcelona 1972. What a night.
4. 1991 v Aberdeen.

Listening to the radio in May 87 when we won the title at Aberdeen, bouncing all round the house when the final whistle went

Mojo’s goal against them in November 89

Ally’s goal in the semi final in 92

Elland Road in the Champions League has to be my number 1.

A week of hearing from the press, colleagues, poets, etc. that the English Champions would destroy us in their own midden and then the best strike partnership in my time as a bear ripped them a new arsehole !

No away fans, no chance given, NO FUCKIN SURRENDER. Still gives me goose bumps now.

After Fergusons missed first penalty, my Mother was upstairs hiding in her bedroom, my old man had went out a "walk" (one of many walks watching Rangers), my mother shouted after I told her Ferguson missed "Agh dont want to know' In her Denistoun finest voice. So when we win, i don't make a noise, I walk to the hallway and shout "thats it, i'm away, to MANCHESTER", then I fainted!

Lovenkrands Cup Final was special as my old man went to pick my sister up from work and my mum and I were in living room watching when Boom, next minute the builder building the extension in the neighbous opposite stopped and laughed when he heard the roar and me jumping my mum!

One other random moment of joy was Juanjo scoring against them on a Sunday afternoon in winter time to win 2-1.
Mate is that allowed - jumping your mum lol

So many of the above, but recently the last 10 mins against UFA were as tense as i've felt following Rangers. Knowing what the group stages held (money, pride etc) and being up against it my stomach was in absolute knots.

Arteta’s penalty against Dunfermline.

The margins were so fine that day it was a kick with unbelievable pressure.

The elation felt at FT though was incredible!

Halcyon days.

Time stopped for me when Novo started his run up.

It’s probably the best feeling I’ve ever felt, outside the usual family stuff.

What a truly unbelievable moment.

Nicely worded. Agree entirely. For a generation of bears that precise moment in the semi v Fiorentina will live forever in the memory.

It got us to a European final. There is no beating that.

Other than winning one, naturally :D

Helicopter Sunday. Had to leave the house and start washing the car. It wasn't until my neighbour ran up the street screaming we had won the league. God knows what my neighbours thought of two grown men cuddling in the street. :D

Fiorentina. 120 mins in home end surrounded by angry looking Italians, Cousin sent off and Barry missing that first penalty. Then Novo steps up and it takes me a few seconds to realise if he scores... we're in the final. And I'm probably going to get a doing off all the Fiorentina fans.

At half time in the Lyon away (3-0) game my wife seduced me.

I could still hear the commentary from the Living Room as I was banging away.

Big Dan the Man scored and I jumped off the bones and ran through to see the goal in the skud.

Quick glory lap roon the Living Room then back to finish the job. That was as intense as it gets. Big Dans goal was a better feeling... :D
Fucking part timer.

Going down to 9men against St Mirren in the LC Cup Final and that winner, felt lovely. Obviously the usual mentioned above but another one that felt good was Jelavic hitting both posts and sneaking in against them in the Cup Final, it was my birthday that day too. I remember that night trying to get into the Quay casino, Arthur Numan was coming out-I was totally wrecked and shouted ‘Arthur Arthur, your the best left back we’ve ever had...’ he started to smile then I shouted ‘Til Sasa F#cking Papac signed, yaaaaaaasssssss’ He went back into the casino and I didn’t get in :)

On reflection, that’s seriously impressive stuff.
A half time podger and you’re still banging away in the second half.

Or she’s an ugly bitch.

Got to be entire Fiorentina game, was on edge of seat all way through considering our defending with last gasp blocks etc then penalty shoot out coming from behind.

Helicopter Sunday simply goes down as best ever championship win considering the points difference so close to end of season and the way it was won.

Lastly, just before every scum game I get extremely ‘in the zone’ and a lot of nervous energy!

1983-84 League Cup Final. Winning 2-0 against Celtic. Celtic get it back to 2-2 with a last minute penalty.

I was drained.

We get a penalty, McCoist misses, and scores the rebound.

I saw the club bus taking the Cup back to Ibrox, as I walked across Auldhouse Road. The Cup glistening in the front of the bus. What a sight and what relief.

Lovenkrands winner was literally one of the best moments of my life. I can see it in slow motion if I close my eyes (from my vantage point in the North Stand.)

in terms of intensity I remember running aggressively towards the tv in the Auctioneers when Lennon and Super Ally had their Tete a tete. I realised I was losing the plot at that point and tried to modify my future behaviour

when Novo scored in Florence I was home alone. I opened the patio doors and started screaming

best ever for me was winning the league at the piggery I was there and was also there at easter road to for the helicopter

Nacho's pen for me the feeling when it the net was sheer euphoria goosebumps reliving some of the memories on this thread brilliant

It was towards the end of half time...and i'm sure big Dan scored early in the second half so you're maybe talking 8 or 9 mins at a push :)

I was so nervous about Walter's last game. About half an hour before the game I was completely bricking it at the prospect of us bottling it and giving treacle teeth a way back into it after they spaffed it in the highlands.

Sufficed to say, that changed rather quickly and I had a wonderful afternoon.

I remember the almost constant fear throughout the entire 2010/11 campaign of that lowlife ned winning the title against a man like Walter in his last season.

Same here.

LEEDS @ ELLAND ROAD

All the other moments were tension filled, at least you could shout/sing even just talk or move to release some of your nervous tension.

Sitting @ Elland Road unable to say anything, virtually not move through 90 minutes of one the biggest games in the clubs history. Was tension I have never experienced before or since.

Hatley scored and it all kicked off and I knew that I had been identified as a (jock b*stard) so spent the whole game with my fists clenched in preparation for a "tap on the shoulder" at anytime!
As as result I couldn't go to the toilet with all the tension I almost p*ssed myself.

When McCoist scored the 2nd was one of those moments when you could release some of those nerves but all I could do was hold on to my seat so making sure I didn't jump up. Whilst just whispering to myself gooooal !!
(weird as f*ck one of Rangers all time great goals and you whisper to yourself)

The only noise you could hear were the other bears that had not held on to their seat and were getting in all sorts of bother as a result.

I have never felt like that again even though I have lived through all and been to the majority of the games already mentioned on this thread.

I would want a result like this again but not in the same circumstances as I think I would not survive I would either get involved in a "rumble" or have a heart attack.

Novo against Fiorentina is unlikely to be beaten for several decades for me.

Fiorentina - had given it up after Cousin red, similar helicopter Sunday.
3-0 at Parkhead in the Masonic hall aged 9 was close. So too Lovenkrands winner and Edus as well.
The pens against Celtic probably, literally couldn't speak, sing at Hampden during that. Can still recall the feeling when the pen went over.

My voice didn't come back until the Wednesday after that semi final

Surely you were finished by the time Beasley scored?

Has to be helicopter Sunday for me.
To go from feeling we had very little chance to the intense joy of winning and everything in between.

I would say waiting on Nacho Novo taking the penalty, I couldn't watch and stood in another room listening to the commentary.

The penalty shoutout against the donut punchers back in 2016 or the 6-1 against Dunfermline were probably the most tense I’ve ever been at a game.

For intensity, of emotion at least, I've got to say it's a negative one for me.

The day we played the filth and had the minutes silence for the disaster and they coughed and spluttered their way through the whole thing. That is the most intense feeling of hatred and disgust I've felt following Rangers. I was in the corner with the Blue Order and was close enough to see the individuals responsible. It was all I could do to stop myself from charging the police line.

An utterly despicable act in a litany of disgusting behaviour from a completely rotten organisation.

I was there too mate. It’s was absolutely disgusting - singing or shouting would’ve been picked up but they knew their coughing and spluttering would be heard by all at Ibrox but not on the telly.

Was like tear gas had been released into the Broomloan Rear.

Scum to the core.

Novos penalty thought we had fucked it when barry missed went to bed that night still not believing we were in the final. Never been so nervous in my life watching football knowing that that is probably a once in a lifetime chance

In the Dundee unt end for 9 in a row
me and my mate Billy trying to keep a lid on it until the final whistle
we failed and a rammy started
police breenged in tae sort it oot
through oot a couple of Dundee unt supporters and let us stay
Fookin great day

I was pretty relaxed for the most of Helicopter Sunday, the only time I felt any tension was the minute between McDonald equalising then scoring his winner :D

I still can't believe to this day we won that title, little wonder the poets hate any mention of it.
