Lazio’s president has been banned for several months, along with two doctors banned for a year along with the club being fined €200,000.

The reason?.

Covid violations such as
- failing to report positive cases to the local health board
- failing to stop three players with positives tests from attending a training session
- twice failing to place a player self-isolation, with said player then involved in a Serie A fixture.

No points deduction.

Incredible

Very bizarre IMO, if that was any other country you’d like to think some sort of deduction would be involved :))
Well, they were quick to sanction Napoli for the no-show at Juve - which was then rescinded of course.

Roma got done for the ineligible player earlier in the season as well I'm sure.

Bizarre inconsistencies.

After all the international shite, the real football is back and Serie A, unusually, returns tomorrow with a full card of fixtures for a Saturday.

Milan will host Sampdoria in the early kick-off. The rossoneri seeking to keep alive their fading title-hopes.

Of the 2pm fixtures, the battle for the CL spots is heating up and both Atalanta and Napoli are in action - hosting Udinese and Crotone respectively. Also in action at 2pm are the Rome clubs, both of whom are not completely out the CL picture just yet. Lazio will host Spezia at the Olimpico whilst Roma travel to Sassualo - always a tricky opponent.

At 5pm there is the pick of this weekend's games with the Turin derby. Relegation threatened Torino host Juventus. Should be an interesting game with the home side now finding themselves in a battle for survival whilst more dropped points for Juve would finish any faint hopes of a 10th consecutive title (sounds familiar!) :shh:

Finally, the late kick off sees champions-elect Inter travel to Bologna, looking to take another step to confirming their first title since 2010. The home side sitting in mid-table safety just now with 10 games remaining.

Fixtures in full;

Milan v Sampdoria 11.30am
Atalanta v Udinese 2pm
Benevento v Parma 2pm
Cagliari v Verona 2pm
Genoa v Fiorentina 2pm
Lazio v Spezia 2pm
Napoli v Crotone 2pm
Sassuolo v Roma 2pm
Torino v Juventus 5pm
Bologna v Inter 7.45pm

Milan still missing a few players

Leao
Diaz
Romangoli
Mandzukic
Calabria

Milan “should” win this, but I see it being close.

Would like another replay of the Milan penalty claim.

HT - 0-0. Samp been the more dangerous side.

Looks like Milan are throwing away any chance of putting inter under pressure. After the bore of international week going to watch the Atalanta game this afternoon

Lazio v Spezia. 2 sent off in injury time for Lazio and they hold on for a 2-1. Pen given for ball hitting elbow of defender by Var.
