Pogba is a very good player, but Utd don't set up to get the best from him. He was signed & played as part of a 2 in midfield, he has done that for France but he usually had Kante as his partner. For Utd he had Fred.

For Juventus however, he played his best football playing left of a 3 in midfield, with Pirlo holding & guys like Marchisio or Vidal doing the dirty work.

So basically, Utd signed him with no idea how to use him to get the best out of him. Then signed Bruno to play as a 10 which meant the formation wouldn't suit Pogba again. Then signed Van der Beek who plays his best football where Bruno plays.
