Probably a carbon copy, or worse. It can't just be rotten luck, our processes around scouting and fitness need a serious review.Would be interesting to see these percentages covering the past 3 seasons.
Add balogun to that.Dowell a truly bizarre signing.
I'd be willing to forgive Danilo after a couple of horror injuries.
You need squad players too. Balogun is the least of my worriesAdd balogun to that.
He couldnt play twice a week when we initially had him so why resign him, crazy.
The players who always make themselves available for us are usually the same players who get slaughtered on hereI posted a thread in April about this. At that time, only eight of our full squad had appeared in half of the games or more.
Of course we need squad players but we resigned a guy that struggles to stay injury free and play more than twice a week, it was stupid. You need squad players too. Balogun is the least of my worries
We may both be morons cos I just thought the sameI'm going to look like a moron most likely here but is it 3/7 or 3/9? Both sentences read the exact same just with one different number no?
Balogun was signed as a back up, never intended to play 2 games a week. he should have been utilised much more imo. or at least as much as his body could cope with.Of course we need squad players but we resigned a guy that struggles to stay injury free and play more than twice a week, it was stupid.
I’ll be a moron tooWe may both be morons cos I just thought the same
He was a cheap, solid backup option who knew the league and would have signed without any problems.Add balogun to that.
He couldnt play twice a week when we initially had him so why resign him, crazy.
He wasn't signed to play twice a week though ?Of course we need squad players but we resigned a guy that struggles to stay injury free and play more than twice a week, it was stupid.
Easy money for fcuk all committment
We’ve not had a good window since Roofe and Itten IMOJust goes to show that we had yet another absolutely disastrous summer transfer window.
3/9, the details show it. Butland, Dessers and Sima. The other six didn’t get to 40%.Is it 3 / 9 or 3/7 ?
Ah , so it should be a <3/9, the details show it. Butland, Dessers and Sima. The other six didn’t get to 40%.
Not only that, but a misleading title; missing out the ''>'', meaning Greater Than!is it 3/9 or 3/7
The post on twitter has both?
Unless did they mess up the last summer part in the sentences?
3/9 from last summer, 3/7 from the summer before?
You need squad players too. Balogun is the least of my worries
Davies should have been utilised more than he had imo , especially with the injuries we have had.Balogun was signed as a back up, never intended to play 2 games a week. he should have been utilised much more imo. or at least as much as his body could cope with.

I reread that tweet about 4 or 5 times to make sure I hadn't become illiterate. 3/9 or 3/7.is it 3/9 or 3/7

3/9 from last summer, 3/7 from the summer before?
I get the point they are trying to make about injuries but when you examine in more detail it isn't that shocking a stat.
Butland , Dessers and Sima - signed as starters and all played significant parts this year.
Balogun, Sterling and Dowell - signed as squad options
Danilo - been injured most of the season.
Lammers and Cifuentes - didn't work out and were moved on in January.
Especially given that we were bringing Balogun in as cover in a defence that includes Ben Davies (frequently injured) and John Souttar (track record of serious injuries). It's credit to Souttar that he's stayed more or less fit all the way through the season - until the weekend, of course.Of course we need squad players but we resigned a guy that struggles to stay injury free and play more than twice a week, it was stupid.
I've lost track of which year was which but it's definitely referring to the past two summers. Think 3/9 was last summer?is it 3/9 or 3/7

fair point, I had completely forgotten about him, as PC probably had until 2 weeks ago!Davies should have been utilised more than he had imo , especially with the injuries we have had.
Good points. What is that saying about lies and statistics?I get the point they are trying to make about injuries but when you examine in more detail it isn't that shocking a stat.

Yeah cause they turned out well - Itten barely played and Roofe spent longer injured than playingWe’ve not had a good window since Roofe and Itten IMO
I think we have deliberately targeting players who we can get for cheaper than they would be available for if they were fit and then trying to rehabilitate them. But that only works if you can actually get them fit.Probably a carbon copy, or worse. It can't just be rotten luck, our processes around scouting and fitness need a serious review.
